Well that’s one big check off on my list. A little over a week ago we closed our production of footloose with open door community theatre. I said it before and I will say it again I loved doing this show, it’s one of my if not my favorite dance story ever and telling it was a huge honor. This was my first musical in three years, with not so much luck with 7 musical auditions and of those only one callback, but then I auditioned for this, and not even a callback, I got in.

I was going into this not even thinking of getting into it, I just auditioned for it to just audition and getting offered a role in it was a big surprise, it definitely took a second to say yes unlike most times I get offered a role. Because it was still during school, and it being a Woodbury based company, getting to rehearsals would possibly be a hassle, but many family and friends worked together and were thoughtful and helpful in getting me to every rehearsal and performance, so thank you all for that. Like I said, this show is my favorite and if I turned it down I would be so disappointed and upset with myself, and I’m glad I didn’t because I made great friendships and connections during this production.

So to my castmates and to the production team of open door theatre thank you for an amazing experience and production, I love you guys, and singing and dancing with all of you was fun and exciting I hope to do more shows in the future with you guys.

Saying goodbye to the town of Bomont today and one of the best groups of people out there. After cancelled shows yesterday due to facilities issues in the building, we’re so glad to have this final show to leave it all on the stage for you. Please come if you can! You won’t want to miss it, but I know I will when the curtain falls. ❤️Love, Ethel 📸 @jbriolimages

Let’s hear it for the boy and the girl who sings about the boy! We’re so happy to welcome Cali Sidler for her ODCT debut, bringing her powerful vocals and dance moves to the role of Rusty. And welcome back to Will McDonough, who played Yertle the Turtle in our production of Seussical last year. He has perfectly captured the essence of Willard, and he will have your cheeks hurting from laughing so hard!
