Cleaned up drawer yesterday and when i was fitting it i realized i made a big mistake 🤦🏻‍♂️,because back panel and French cleat inset, now drawer is 1 1/4 bigger. So now I'm not sure what to do, either completely redo it or cut back off and fix it.

Trimming up some live edge walnut slabs, fitting them into the form, and pouring @totalboat Fathom Deep for a pretty substantial coffee table.

Excited to see how this one comes together once it’s out of the form and finished up 👍🏼

Every piece of walnut carries unique contingencies—knots, fissures, grain distortions, and other records of its natural history. These are not imperfections to correct, but conditions from which geometry emerges.

Contingency dictates geometry.
