First mixed doubles with my partner @callmejan_net and her first ever hyrox race.

When she signed up, she planned to do 1% of the stations.
On race day, she contributed 10-20% of the stations.

Start together and finish strong together.

My chilling pace chur爆 her heart 😆 but I think we can go faster.

The North Face 100 香港越野跑挑戰賽

Ultra marathon was always in my bucket list before turning 40 and I have decided TNF to be my first one. Not sure what gave me the courage to register 100km as my first trail race but knowing finishing the race would be given a finisher hoodie was a key factor.

In a few months shy, I began looking at the technicality of the course and planned my training. As the race day approaches, my accumulated recce fall short of 200km and 10,000 elevation and stress started to kick in. My longest recce was also just about a full marathon distance and never trained at night.

Race day. My stomach hit the wall at around 40km. Couldn’t take anymore gels or electrolytes or coke. Anything other than water made me want to vomit. From CP5 and onwards, I forced myself to eat oranges and some real food and my stomach took until CP8 to recover.

A glimpse of retreat zapped through my mind but after evaluating all risks and factors, I steered my mind to continue. Giving up is easy and pain free but I will regret immediately after.

My greatest supporter @callmejan_net has reminded me that I was racing on her birthday day and may not be given a second chance next year to do it again and I really wanted the 100km only hoodie. Without thinking much again, I crossed the finish line.

Rapha FAR03 - Held in China 惠州
One of Rapha members epic ride
Organized by @_letitrot_ and led by many ride leaders
Support cars and motorcycles were within reach for road side issues

We road 155km 2000m elevation on the main event day passing through mountains and local villages. The road is smooth and can smell the aroma from the rice fields.

Section 4 - 15km~
1. Hiked up烏蛟騰 and passed by lots of grave on your sides.
2. Then turned at 分水凹 and 珠門田 and downhill to 荔枝窩
3. Took a lunch break with 🍜 and coke at Foo’s Cafe
4. Continued to 鎖羅盆 with many crumbling houses 🏠
5. Then saw a cow zoomed by faster than my eyes can catch it before turning up to 榕樹凹 with lots of deserted houses again
6. Walked along the coast passing 松記士多 until 鹿頸停車場

With so many graves, weird noises and deserted houses, I will definitely 🏃💨💨💨
