Our students worked so hard these past two weeks preparing thousands of blondies to pass out at the Taste of Santa Ana food festival! From weighing and measuring their mise en place to baking, portioning, and packaging, we appreciate the hard work, dedication, teamwork and career ready skills they demonstrated during this big project. These students are the future of our industry and we could not be prouder! We’ll see you at tomorrow’s festival Santa Ana! Please stop by, say hello, and get a blondie. 😁😎

The Food Truck program did some very tasty work this Friday! Chef Robert and our Academy students did a great job serving up their scratch made carnitas tacos with salsa roja and cucumber agua fresca at the Valley football game last night. It’s so great to see the Food Truck in action and to see the all recipes come together! From recipe r&d in the classroom to launching the results for customers, they put a lot of hard work into their menu and setting up the truck. Good work team!!

A special shoutout goes out to the students who are among the first food truck event crew participants and who volunteered their time to help!!

Thanks to Valley ASB @valley.hs.asb for collaborating with us, thank you to Chef Jacob @sausdnutrition for all the food truck operation tips, and thank you to our drivers and spotters who helped us move the truck!

Happy 30th Anniversary to Bandar Restaurant! ✨🥂

.

It all started because of these two amazing humans — Mom & Dad. 🤍

Thirty years ago, in 1996, they had the courage to take a chance on the Gaslamp Quarter at a time when it was nothing like the Gaslamp we know today. There wasn’t nearly as much happening downtown, and opening a restaurant here was a huge risk. But they believed in their dream, worked incredibly hard, and took that leap of faith.

And because of their courage, sacrifice, dedication, and vision… Bandar was born. 🤍

What started with Mom and Dad became a family journey that has now lasted 30 incredible years.

Over the past three decades, we have celebrated countless special moments of our own, but we have also had the privilege of being part of so many of our patrons’ most meaningful moments — birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, engagements, baptisms, company parties, retirements, holidays, family gatherings, milestones, and so much more.

It is truly an honor knowing that for three decades, Bandar has been a place where people have gathered to celebrate life, love, family, friendship, and unforgettable moments.

We are so grateful that you have allowed us to be a small part of your lives and your memories while giving us the opportunity to serve you. 🤍

To everyone who has supported us, celebrated with us, dined with us, recommended us to others, and walked through our doors since 1996 — THANK YOU. Thank you for believing in our family and for being part of this incredible 30-year journey.

And most importantly, thank you, Mom & Dad. None of this would exist without the two of you, your bravery, your sacrifices, your endless hard work, and the dream you had back in 1996. Look what you created. 🤍✨

🥂🍾 Cheers to 30 years of Bandar — and to many, many more years of celebrations, memories, great food, family, love, and togetherness still to come.

1996–2026 🤍🍾✨

The restaurant group chat was BUSY today. 📱❤️

Nearly 240 local restaurants received grants this year through @calrestfoundation @RestaurantsCare and The PG&E Corporation Foundation.

For many family-owned restaurants, these funds will help replace equipment, invest in their business and continue serving their communities.

And judging by the reactions... this news was delivered right on time. 🥹🍽️✨

Can't wait to see what they cook up next!
