What a brilliant British Art Show! I still can't actually believe I'm in it, it's a real pinch me moment.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to @ekoweshun and the amazing @hayward.gallery touring team for including my work alongside so many brilliant artists.

The last video shows the very humbling moment of having to crawl out the bushes after peeing on the side of the M1. The universe really gives and takes 😂

More to see today but first nursing a tequila hangover in the Premier Inn.
Was so good to see @lindseymendick ‘s Kenilworth installation in a different environment, and to see how it has changed after being exposed to the elements. Also loved seeing @olddrag ‘s brilliant sculpture again.

Where Is My Mind? explores the relationship between mental health, lived experience and artistic practice — but for me, it became about something much more personal: how we find ways to keep going.

The idea that really stayed with me was that creativity doesn’t have to come from suffering, and suffering doesn’t have to be romanticised for the work to have meaning.

Sometimes creativity is simply a way of processing. A way of making sense of things. A way of communicating when words aren’t enough. A way of creating stability when everything else feels uncertain.

I really resonated with the exhibition’s focus on process, adaptation and sustainability — the practical and emotional things we develop to keep showing up as ourselves.

It reminded me that being vulnerable and being strong aren’t opposites. That uncertainty and creativity can coexist. And that sometimes looking after yourself is part of the creative practice too.

Really grateful I got to experience this 🤍

We have been showing some sublime work by a handful of Margate artists in the new space.

In the current rotation of exhibiting artists we have @caluwez. Their diverse practise encompasses ceramics, wood, metal and around object. Their practice is rooted in experimentation rather than formal training.
