1/4 Recap ‘25 We opened 2025 with SEX SHOOTER by @hester_l_scheurwater, a bold and sensual exhibition that reframed the male gaze. At the same time, we collaborated with @iffr, hosting the immersive exhibition and sound installation An Uaimh Bhinn by @lugh___ and @temporary.pleasure, curated by @orpheuthewizard. For a brief moment, the Kathedraal at Brutus became a glowing cave of sound and light, an otherworldly environment that shifted once again during Choreomania, when the space transformed into a postmodern dance floor for an unforgettable night. Another unique way of transforming the 12-meter-high Brutus Kathedraal was during the physical music performance ‘A Myth’ from @studiovacuum by @meesvervuurt during @o.festival.rotterdam. 2025 brought some incredible parties, from buzzing exhibition openings to the @rotterdamartweek afterparty. Together with @operator.radio, we yet again created a big rave to celebrate art & music. Artists like @nosedrip closed Art Week with an energy that carried late into the night. More highlights to come this week, stay tuned as we revisit the moments that shaped our year.

Giants — by Lugh O’Neill At the heart of the exhibition An Uaimh Bhinn is Giants by Lugh O’Neill, a spatial sound work and three-screen video installation showcasing a performance that took place among the basalt columns of Fingal’s Cave. This cave, located on the Isle of Staffa off Scotland’s coast, is renowned for its cathedral-like acoustics and is, according to local mythology, the end of an ancient bridge built by giants. The work Giants, together with the installation by Temporary Pleasure form an immersive environment that transforms from exhibition space to stage, inviting musicians, artists, and the public to join in a collective experience. Join us for the Grand Opening on January 24th! The exhibition runs from January 25th to February 16th. Open Thursday to Sunday, 12:00 - 18:00. On January 31st C.A.N.V.A.S. presents Elvin Brandhi & KMRU On February 7th Temporary Pleasure presents Choreomania & Rat Section Event tickets via IFFR.
