🎬 How I Score Short Films

Every score starts with emotion.
Before I touch a piano or load a sound, I study the story, pacing, cinematography, and emotional direction of the scene. The goal isn’t just to make music… it’s to make the audience *feel* something.

My process for scoring short films include:
🎼 Theme creation
🎹 Chord and melody choices
🎧 Sound design & layering
🎬 Matching music to visuals
📈 Building tension and release
🎻 Creating cinematic atmosphere

If you want to see the full in-depth breakdowns, behind-the-scenes sessions, and detailed production process, make sure to like and follow. More cinematic scoring content coming soon.

“Christmas is Different” OUT NOW!🎄🤩
(on Spotify, Apple Music, or wherever you listen)
We hope you enjoy this one as much as we enjoyed making it 🥹
———-

First time collaborating on songwriting AND producing on a song, and it honestly was SO much fun. Lots of late nights, brain fog; lots of learning, patience, and a growing love for music ❤️

🎶 Thank you @iangabrielluna for writing this with me. For your encouragement, patience, and time. Literally couldn’t have created this w/o you 🥹

🎧 @cap_sharon thank you for taking our ideas, adding yours, and giving the song the all the sparkle & warmth; wrapping it all together. 🎁

& to anyone who listens— thank you. It means a whole bunch 🤍🥺

Today is the last day to stream LINT on MOMETU as a part of the MOMETU COLLEGE FILM FESTIVAL!

LINK IN BIO.

LINT will always be a special film to me. From the long nights of shooting with the crew, surviving on the cheapest pizzas the budget allowed, to the hours poured into editing (and re-editing). It is a film I’m proud to call my own. It was a labor of love and it wouldn’t have amounted to anything without all the amazing people who helped me make it a fully realized project. My star studded cast, my relentlessly skilled (overworked and underslept) crew, a gem of a laundromat owner, and all the people who donated to allow us to do it the way it needed to be done. It was a true privilege being able to take this little story idea I had playing so vividly in my head and translate it into something better than I could’ve imagined. I can’t thank you all enough. You rock.

And thank you all for taking the time to sit and watch. I hope you enjoyed checking it out as much as I did making it!

Very excited to announce my senior thesis film, LINT, will be premiering next week Thursday (5/16) at UW-Milwaukee’s Union Cinema at 7:00pm (CST). The process of making LINT has been such a valuable and fun learning experience for me. It gave me the opportunity to work with some truly talented people, work on my craft, and tell a story that is important to me at this point in my life and as a young filmmaker. It’s going to be very rewarding to see how all the hard work comes together and pays off on the big screen. So please come to the premiere if you can! Bring friends and family. Buy some popcorn. Sit back relax and enjoy the film!
