POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Tucked behind a dune in Truro, with Edward Hopper’s former house as its only visible neighbor, this home was built for two artists who have summered on the Cape for 50 years. Fauzia Khanani of Studio Fōr kept the footprint modest so the house would blend into the landscape, then fit in everything that mattered: two painting studios, sky-high windows, and room for family to visit.

Inside, the owners skipped the clutter in favor of midcentury chairs, a mint-green suspended fireplace, and their own colorful canvases on the walls. Outside, charred cedar replaces classic Cape shingles, and a screened porch hosts dinners to birdsong. 🎨🌾

We began working with Champ Homes in 2021 on conceptual sketches for a new residential building and gathering space. It has been a wonderful process learning about this amazing non-profit and the work they have been doing on Cape since 1991.

We are thrilled to be through the regulatory boards and are working with Cape Associates to break ground on this project in early 2027!

Here are a few renders of the project and look at our stories to learn more about Champ Homes and the life-changing work they do!

We designed Paine’s Creek to look out over the marsh and dunes.

Distinct shingle clad volumes linked by an open bridge establish a clear connection to the surrounding Cape Cod landscape.

We approached this Provincetown project's exterior like an extra room that happens to be outside. New decking, strategic plant placement, and seating positioned to catch both morning coffee sun and evening wind-down light. The bones were already there from the 1890s build, we just made them work for how people actually want to use outdoor space now.
