I think I just found the BEST burger I’ve ever had… and it’s literally inside a butcher shop in Wickenburg, Arizona!

This place raises its own cattle, and the quality of the beef is absolutely INSANE. I’m telling you, these burgers alone are worth the drive.

Wickenburg might be the Team Roping Capital of the World… but I drove out there for the BEEF. 🤠🍔

I finally made the trip to @capital.farms & @capital.patty and this is about as Arizona as a burger gets.

Capital Farms specializes in Corriente beef, a cattle breed known for thriving in the Southwest. Their cattle are raised right here in Arizona, and they’ve built their entire operation around bringing that beef from their ranch to your plate.

And the burgers? 🔥

My two favorites were easily the Green Chile Chopped Cheese with 8 oz of Corriente beef, melty cheese, green chile, veggies and green chile aioli on a Noble Bread hoagie…

And the Fancy Burger with a Corriente smash patty, beef bacon, white cheddar, house pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion and their secret sauce.

Even the buns are toasted in beef tallow.

And Wickenburg is the perfect place for it. The town traces its roots back to the 1860s and Arizona’s gold-rush days, later became known as the Dude Ranch Capital of the World, and today Wickenburg officially calls itself the Team Roping Capital of the World.

10 months after moving to Phoenix we made the trek out to Wickenburg to scarf down @capital.patty to eat @capital.farms cheeseburgers. It was worth it folks. Hunter is running a heck of a business. We got The Oklahoma Smash and the La Hamburguesa. Hunter was kind enough to chat a bit and send out a sample of The Fancy Smashburger and the Pastrami Burger (not pictured). It was not slow at all even on a 111 degree day. I urge any burger lovers to go there and get the burgers and buy some steaks. Awesome spot. If you have a significant other stay out there and find a little motel. Oh, and they use excellent @noblebread

“The Classic” an homage to the great Marco Pierre White that said “simplicity is the secret to everything. The more you add, the more you’re taking away.” We make our foundational smashburger with the incredible @capital.farms beef, homemade avocado oil based mayo, and the laborious truly caramelized onions that have the kind of depth of flavor you can only achieve by standing over that rondeau for hours. 📸 @hunterr.smith
