At Kampus, we kept a load of old buildings, including a rather odd 1960s bungalow. Well, technically a bungalow. Just one on stilts.

The planners assumed we’d knock it down and build something tall and shiny. Which is predictable. And boring.

So naturally, we did the opposite.

We turned it into Manchester’s smallest restaurant.

Since then, it’s become a revolving door of brilliant independent food businesses, testing ideas, finding their feet and launching something new.

Turns out you don’t always need to build something bigger to make something better.

Sometimes being a bit stubborn pays off :)

⚽What a day on the pitch!

A huge thank you to Seddon Housing Partnerships for bringing everyone together last week for a brilliant charity football match in support of #GreaterManchesterMayorsCharity

Together, you raised an incredible £13,500 to support our work tackling homelessness across #GreaterManchester. Huge congratulations to NG Bailey for taking home the trophy 🏆

A special thanks to our Ambassador Joe Farrar, who organised the whole event with help from Amanda and the wider team @seddonhomes We're so grateful for all the work they put into making this happen. 🧡

And thank you to every team who took part, and cheered them on. It was brilliant to see so many people coming together. We've got loads more photos to share, so keep am eye out over the weekend!

at civic we created a cost-effective bespoke glazing solution, working with the existing monocoque aluminium frame to express the quality of the original façade while upgrading operational performance. the bespoke triple-glazed solution has 50% more glazed area than the double-glazed proprietary solution – and is 50% cheaper.

Last week, we joined @capitalcentric and @sunderlandukofficial at @culturehousesunderland to support the public consultation for The Lanes, sharing a first look at the vision for a new city-centre neighbourhood on High Street West.

Part of the wider @riversidesunderland transformation, The Lanes will bring 216 one and two-bedroom homes alongside new spaces for cafés, bars, shops and businesses, creating a vibrant, mixed-use neighbourhood and a new chapter for one of Sunderland’s most important streets.

There was real enthusiasm for the vision and the opportunity to bring new homes, activity and energy back to High Street West.” – Leanne Stamp, Senior Associate Architect
