Gluten free in Boston? Picking just 5 was so hard! Save this for your next dinner out & follow along for more recommendations 🍝

Prima, Charlestown: Monday is gluten free night here! I could honestly order anything but the chicken piccata is the best in the city. Bright, lemony, not too much, and so good with the pasta. I get it every single time.

Coppa, South End: Once a month they go fully gluten free for the night. They clean the whole kitchen and the entire menu is safe. I still can’t believe it’s real. I got the bolognese on gluten free shells (SHELLS!! when do we ever get shells) and it was so rich and cozy. Get the garlic knots too, trust me.

Bartaco: One of our favorite spots, period. We know it’s safe, they’re careful about cross contamination, and it’s the same great meal every time. Sometimes you just want a place you don’t have to worry about ❤️

Capo, South Boston: Tuesday is gluten free Tuesday here and I plan my week around it. The chicken parm is huge, so crunchy, and the sauce is perfect. Every time I go I say I’ll try something new and every time I get the chicken parm. A staff me never once told me to get it with the vodka sauce pasta and they was so right.

If you haven’t been yet, this is your sign!

Serafina, Seaport: The truffle pizza 🍕 robiola, fontina, black truffle, truffle cheese, and truffle oil. I’ve eaten a lot of gluten free pizza and this one is really different, a little fancy in the best way.

Just a heads up: if you’re celiac or cross contamination isn’t ok for you, I’d skip this one. They can’t guarantee it since everything is prepped in the same area.

I did the (hours of online and in person) research so you don’t have to 🎃😉

A lot of these are variations on the pumpkin spice, espresso martini, including pumpkin pie espresso martini (@thebroadwaysouthboston), pumpkin chai espresso martini (@smithwollensky), etc.

I’m doing the last leg (maybe 👀) of my pumpkin etini crawl this weekend so throw any out there that I missed! If I can give restaurants any advice, it would be to post about your pumpkin espresso martini because there are people like me looking to come in specifically for that drink!

The night before 🤍

At our rehearsal dinner, I shared a story about how, when Greg and I first started dating, I told him our relationship reminded me of the song “Tiebreaker” by The Head and the Heart, a band that would become one of our favorites. The song talks about how two people can’t believe they almost went their whole lives without meeting, but when they finally do, it feels like they’re truly in a tie, meaning there isn’t one thing they would change about each other or anything that needs to be fixed. And that was exactly how I felt about Greg🦞
