This is the hardest, “see you later” I ever had to say.

You were so tired. Your mission was done.
To end your suffering meant I had to start mine and I would make that decision all over again, just to make sure you were okay.

Thank you for loving me, baby girl. From the moment we met we have been inseparable. The love and affection overflowed.

You were fated to me by God. I didn’t even like cats before I met you. You changed me. You opened my heart in ways I didn’t think was possible.

You allowed me to be soft and remain soft in a world that feels so cruel. You heard my nightly prayers, listened to my drama, kissed my tears away, and sat with me in silence- words not needed because the love was so loud.

Lu, you made everyone’s life better, by your beauty, kindness, grace - like a true Queen.

I never looked at you as just a cat, but my baby. The only motherhood I’ve ever known. And although the world may not understand that. I always took pride in being your momma. It was the best title I ever had.

Queen, I’m happy you’re on your throne now.
Rest easy sweet girl. My heart will just have to miss you until then.

I loved you then, I love you now, I love you forever.

AUGUST was for slowing down and getting better to saying no to work that made me feel destroyed at the end of the day, for more date nights, hangouts with friends and family. This birthday isn’t a major milestone for @racquelgallo ~ but meeting you in 2022 was one of the most major milestones in my life.
