Yesterday the firm I started 11 years ago was announced as the recipient of the Smithsonian National Design Award for our work in Interior Design! The award is given to a firm for their “innovative contributions to interior environments that advance the understanding of our spatial experiences.” Past recipients include many of my heroes, people and firms that have shaped my own education and practice in very meaningful ways.

Bravo to the CHH team over the years - a hardcore, hardworking and highly creative group of Individuals that have dreamed of so many amazing spaces and made them realities. And thank you to our visionary and trusting clients and collaborators who have invited us to work on their projects! I have so many more feelings in this moment than I can really express here but I am deeply moved and tremendously grateful and proud of @ch_herrero ❤️

@studio.s.ii debuting at @thesalonny in the iconic @parkavearmory , a yearly treat and space that’s inspired me for years. What a thrill to finally take part in what’s long felt like sacred design ground.

Deep gratitude to @femaledesigncouncil for championing new voices and shaping the future of design.

The House of S II gallery perfectly embodies our bold and unconventional aesthetic. This parlor features an eclectic mix of bold textures and forms, from the sculptural 1980’s @rochebobois black leather sofa and angular welded lamp, to the juxtaposition of organic and futuristic materials. The room’s deep, muted tones created a cinematic atmosphere. Every piece highlights our desires to create an environment where individuality and deviation thrive.

In collaboration with @thombrowne and @mouthwash.studio, CHH helped to design and produce a dinner for Thom Browne at the beautiful Commerce Inn during NYFW. 🖤 Hosted by the great @coleescola. Photos by @seandavidson.
