I am thrilled to welcome Carol Tonge Mack as my guest on this week’s episode. Carol is the Founder & CEO of Tonge Mack Enterprises, LLC: Empowering Next Dimension Leaders. The organization has three primary goals: provide women and girls with the empowering tools necessary to elevate and amplify their voices, particularly, but not exclusively in education; assist companies and organizations with innovative, unconventional, leadership skills to unleash their highest potential; and help students and parents navigate higher education from recruitment to graduation. Carol is a well-respected educator and powerhouse behind her brand: END POLITE SILENCE™. She has been working for over twenty years in higher education with professional skills ranging from executive strategic planning, project implementation and execution, to crisis management with emotional intelligence at the core. Carol believes in the power of “real” sisterhood and helping women recognize they are good enough, whether they are holding a broom or the gavel. Carol is a native of the Caribbean Island of Antigua and grew up in the South Bronx, New York City. She is the co-founder of the UC Black Women on the Move, Employee Resource Group; former State Co-Chair of the American Council on Education (ACE), and member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She is married to an amazing, world-renowned chemist, and has two children; and currently enjoying her “blessed nest”. Be sure to tune in! . . Today, we don’t just celebrate Africa Union Day—we embody it. At yesterday’s Tea, Treats & Transformations, we were the African Union in motion—alive, adorned, and aligned. Women of African descent and heritage came wrapped in bold, vibrant colors that echoed ancestry, power, and pride. From Cincinnati to Columbus. From Florence to Hebron. From Ghana, Congo, Senegal, Nigeria, Somalia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Jamaica, and Antigua—we gathered as one. Many nations. One lineage. A united future. We didn’t just sip tea—we reshaped the narrative. We didn’t just gather—we disrupted the sameness. We stood in the fullness of our identities, our brilliance, our birthrights. This is what culture and community look like when women lead. This is what Africa Union means when lived out loud. What a morning of joy, sisterhood, and transformation. A few weeks ago, we gathered in Cincinnati for Tea, Treats & Transformations: A Global Conversation on Black Maternal Joy—a signature Her Tomorrow experience under the Health & Wellness Pillar of The Office of Zosimli Naa®️. In honor of Black Maternal Health Week, we created space for African American and African immigrant women to reflect, connect, and reclaim joy as a vital part of maternal mental wellness. From powerful stories to stigma-shattering dialogue and a soul-stirring tea circle of affirmation—this gathering reminded us that joy is not just medicine; it’s memory, resistance, and rhythm. As a Faith Leader, I cannot be selective. For too long the church has been SILENT 🤫 about the trauma that our young boys and girls have experienced regarding sexual abuse. We spend way too much time fussing LOUDLY 🗣️ about sexuality and who people choose to love. Until the same effort is placed on calling out the wickedness of this behavior and the perpetrators who continue to cause harm and decades of trauma onto innocent children, I don’t want to hear anything about Tim & Tom dating each other. Let us come together to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Don’t defend people or cover up for them because you are related to them-you are then just as guilty. I pray that we will BELIEVE people the FIRST TIME they tell their story and stand on the right side of #love.
