And so it begins! I am a bit early with this year's #Diwali prep. Only because in the UK this year it falls in a weekday and there is no #publicholiday like in #trinidadandtobago Want to guess what I am going to make today? #dalpuris #dhalpuri #roti #yellowsplitpeas boiled in #tumeric and salt. Allowing it to cool before blitzing with #garlic and #greenchillies This lovely mixture will be stuffed into balls of #wholemealdough , rolled out and cooked on a #tawa with a small drizzle of #rapeseedoil #veganfood #veggiebuzzing #trinidadianfood 🇹🇹🇹🇹#caribbeangoodness #thetriumphoflightoverdarkness #instayum #lifelovefood #loveandlight #nofilter

@kristalize_ and @2402shell this is for you #pholourie with #channa and #mangochutney reminiscent of my #primaryschool #elsocorrohinduschool days when we used to buy 10 cents pholourie and five cents channa in the parlour. #pennacool and #iceblocks went down good too!!! In those days my daily allowance was between 10 cents and 25 cents. The day I got a whole dollar, I only spent 5 cents!!! Now a dollar in #trinidad does not buy much #oldtimedays #trinilife #trinifood #70s #lifelovefood #nofilter #veganfood #instayum #instafood #foodporn
