The 2023 Sancerre Clos La Néore is a rich and concentrated wine with great depth and texture. Notes of orchard fruit, chamomile, sage and delicate white flowers develop slowly in the glass. As with many vintages of this cuvée, the 2023 benefits greatly from aeration. With time, it shows more freshness, energy and balance. An exceptional wine with great depth, elegance and finesse.

🌍 Pinot Noir Around the World | Blind Tasting 🍷

One grape. Three countries. Three unique expressions.

🇳🇿 Felton Road Block 5 2020 – Powerful, mineral, dark cherry & spice.
🇺🇸 Littorai Wendling Vineyard Block E 2020 – Elegant, silky, red berries & earthy complexity.
🇩🇪 August Kesseler Cuvée Max 2019 – Fresh, vibrant, sour cherry & fine spice.

A blind tasting proved once again: Pinot Noir is one of the most expressive grape varieties in the world.

Which one would be your winner? 🍷

After yesterday’s beautiful sunny day, we enjoyed three outstanding bottles.

We started with L’Odysée Pétillant Chapitre 2 by @romain_henin_vigneron : an incredibly fresh and precise Champagne with no dosage or added sulphur. Pure, vibrant, and full of energy.

Next came Nun – Vinya dels Taus 2024 by @enric_soler . Blind, I would never have guessed this was a white wine from Catalonia made from Xarel·lo. It has a remarkably Burgundian character: citrus-driven, mineral, and laser-focused, with beautifully integrated oak. The palate is packed with tension, depth, and tremendous energy.

To finish, we opened Anime Nere Vigneto Eroico 2023 by @manuelepriolo from Roero. I have never experienced Nebbiolo quite like this. Intensely aromatic and almost ethereal, with captivating notes of red berries and rose petals. Exceptionally elegant and layered, supported by finely polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and only 12.7% alcohol. What a truly remarkable wine!

Paul Lato - “It’s All Good” Talley Oliver’s Vineyard 2018
🍇 Chardonnay
🌍 Edna Valley, California, USA
🍷 At home.
Old-school Californian stud at heart. Thanks to its graceful ageing, the new oak is still present but beautifully integrated.

Opulent yet elegant, with plenty of tension and nervy acidity that make it appear younger than it is.

Freshly cut young pineapple, citrus orchard, hazelnuts and hints of peach.

This is peaking right now. The bottle was empty in a heartbeat.
