Without these guys, there is no Kite Buen Hombre. Simple as that. 🧡

Almost 14 years ago we put a kite flag on a quiet beach in Buen Hombre. Lots of wind, lots of dreams, not much else 😅
And honestly? Right now, with this crew, is the best moment of all those years.

Professional. Capable. Versatile. And a LOT of fun. They rig your kite, fix your bar, drive the boat, find your lost sandal and make you laugh while you swallow half the lagoon 🌊

A big thumbs up 👍 to all our wonderful CHARACTERS:
🧡 Helensita – soft side? shhh…
👑 Davisito – the pro… and the princesa
🪁 Miky – the maestro, Papitoooo!
🤓 Carlo David – knows it all… of all
😲 Kelvin – the biggest surprise to show up
🤙 Yansi – the YoYooooo

Luv ya! ¡Los quiero mucho, equipo! 🇩🇴

Mornings on the laptop, afternoons on the water 💻🪁

Playa Buen Hombre is quiet, the lagoon is flat and shallow, and the afternoons are made for kiting, so you can work and ride in the same day.

Our guide helps you pick the shape of your trip: a 3–4 day learn-and-relax weekend, a 7–10 day progression week, or a month of work and ride. We put lessons, beachfront stays and transfers together so you only have to show up.

🌴 Low-season special: book the 10-hour course and stay up to 6 nights free (stays 1 Nov – 15 Dec)

Meet our Costa Rica crew 🇨🇷💗

Three amazing girls came to Buen Hombre with zero kite experience… and seven days later, all three left as kitesurfers 🪁

It was a week full of laughter, happy tears and big challenges conquered. Day 1: who is flying who? 😅 Day 7: everybody landed well after all 🙌

Thank you, girls, for your energy, your courage and all these beautiful moments. You'll always have a home on our beach 🧡

Ready to write your own story? Our 7-day kite course takes you from zero to riding, with our team by your side every step of the way.

Things to do in Monte Cristi 🇩🇴 our local guide is out

Monte Cristi is the Dominican Republic most visitors never see: El Morro rising over the bay, salt flats, a third of the country's mangroves, seven uninhabited cays and the house where Martí and Gómez signed the 1895 Manifesto.

We have lived and taught kitesurfing on this coast since 2013, so we wrote the local guide: what to see, where to eat and what is changing.

The original friendly kite school. Since 2013. 🐐🪁

Dogs. Goats. Kiters. Everyone rides here.
Yes, that's a goat on a kite. Certified co-pilot. 😎

Flat water, steady wind, zero stress: even the goats are relaxed in Playa Buen Hombre 🇩🇴

It all started in 2013 with Miky and Lucky on this beach. Still the same family vibe, on two legs or four. 🧡

Our staff meeting today: headphones on, hoodies up, zero PowerPoint. 🎧🧡

David and Carlos are in the middle of a very serious technical briefing, and yes, it's mostly dancing. Behind them, the wind is doing 20 knots, the lagoon is flat, and someone else's student is standing up on the board for the first time.

That's how we do it at Kite Buen Hombre. Safety first, 3,000+ students since 2013, and we never take ourselves too seriously.

Learn from pros who love what they do, and you'll laugh more and learn faster. Nobody ever nailed a water start while stressed, but plenty have done it while smiling. 🌊

Come for the wind. Stay for the people. Leave with a story. 🤙
