P A L E S T I N A L I B R E

On this #NakbaDay I’d like to offer a piece I made recently, inspired by the resilient Palestinian poppy, her people, and the lifelong, generations-long fight for liberation.

Huge gratitude to the wonderful artists and educators of @outletpdx whose three-hour long Risograph printmaking workshop gave birth to this piece of art—and to my re-ignited Riso obsession. I learned so much! I had so much fun getting creative with artists from all walks of life! It’s safe to say I have become an absolute Risograph fiend and I am itching to get my hands on another machine to keep experimenting!! 😍

Thank you @outletpdx, I cannot wait to come visit again!! 💕

💥PAINT ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE💥

Huge thank you to @girlmobb for hosting this fundraiser workshop to send support to displaced families in Cambodia and sharing your skills and knowledge with us!! I learned technique, I learned vocab, I learned that I am so messy I think I need gloves on both hands instead of just one lolololl, but most of all I (re)learned how much I love this! Public art! Creating with a crew! Splashing colour everywhere! Painting truth to power! Getting weird!

Can’t wait to keep practicing 🖤

If you’re near @clarionalleymuralproject in the city, please go support—and check out the incredible work of @graffiticampforgirls!

Love to sing this feel-good Neil Young song with my friend Jimmy Murphy!

And yay, I learned a few new tricks with Premiere Pro in the making of this video!

Big ups to @carnmeencalling for the live performance footage at Petaluma's Luma Eatery @lumabar_eatery and to @patty.hoyt for the sunset still with fiddle at Nick's Cove @nickscove where the original cottage burned down on Tomales Bay. I'm happy it's been rebuilt!

HARDLY STRICTLY IRISH (Suzuki Cady & Jimmy Murphy) play lovely, lively traditional Irish tunes and sing songs from a variety of genres on fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and bodhrán.

"A new band is rocking the Bay Area—to high acclaim…They are commensurate acoustic musicians with decades of experience between them." – Mark Fernquest, Sebastopol Times
