As the end approaches, I’m writing our last cheers. It’s hard to find the right words to convey exactly how pivotal the last four years of my life have been. The people that I’ve met along the way and had the honor to become friends with have truly altered who I am as a person and caused my heart to grow larger than I ever thought it could. Thank you will never be enough to convey the level of gratitude I have towards the University of Georgia and the people I met because of it. I know for certain that I will cherish these years for the rest of my life.

Cheers to us. Cheers to those of you who took a chance on moving from Wyoming, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, New York, Florida, and all the other places I can’t think of right now. Cheers to choosing deeply loyal friendships over all of the other trivial, unimportant matters that social circles and college can revolve around. Cheers to gaining perspective, wisdom, and insights that the younger versions of ourselves would’ve killed to know 4 years ago. Cheers to the fact that out of 30,000 people it was you, it was us. Cheers to the fact that we found each other. Cheers to our hearts. Cheers to always having a home in the people we met along the way. Cheers to friendship that triumphs over all else, that picks you up when you need it most, that sits with you when you need rest, and that celebrates you when good things happen. Cheers to the fact that no matter the distance, we will always have each other to run home to. How lucky are we.
