At the stunning @fortbazaar_teardrophotels your day starts with the most incredible breakfast. It’s a twist on the always yummy Eggs Benedict but it’s served on the Sri Lankan crispy thin pancake known as a hopper. Visiting Galle in Sri Lanka and staying at this fine hotel, one of the stylish Teardrop Hotels, is the treat of a lifetime! Golden hour at Copacabana Palace, where Rio’s most iconic beachfront hotel has welcomed guests since 1923. Built under President Epitácio Pessoa’s vision and designed by French architect Joseph Gire, the palace became a symbol of Copacabana’s glamour and still carries a century of history in every detail. @belmondcopacabanapalace has hosted a long list of famous guests over the decades, including Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Tom Jobim, Brigitte Bardot, and Rolling Stones members. It has long been one of Rio’s most glamorous celebrity hotels. CopacabanaPalace #RioDeJaneiro #CelebrityHotspots #LuxuryTravel #HistoricHotels #WomenWhoTravel

Buenos Aires lives and breathes food. From corner cafés stacked with crustless sandwiches to smoky parrillas and old-school bodegones, the city’s food scene is a delicious mix of European influence and unmistakable Argentine soul.

Start your day like a local: strong coffee, medialunas, or those iconic sandwiches de miga (like the ones in my photo). These delicate, crustless layers often filled with jamón y queso or olives, egg and cheese are a Buenos Aires staple. They’re simple, nostalgic, and everywhere, from bakeries to casual cafés.

But the real heartbeat of the city is its meat culture. Argentine beef is legendary, and nowhere captures that better than a neighbourhood parrilla. One standout is El Gran Paraíso, tucked inside the colourful, character-filled streets of La Boca.

At El Gran Paraíso is where the locals go before a football match - it’s full of atmosphere. The setting feels like stepping into a storybook version of Buenos Aires. Think vibrant murals, warm hospitality, and the irresistible smell of grilling meat in the air. The staff greet you like old friends, and our experience was memorable.

Expect perfectly cooked cuts of steak, juicy choripán, and classic sides all served generously. Pair it with a glass of Malbec, and you’ve got the full Buenos Aires experience on a plate.

And then there’s mate — not food, but essential to understanding the culture. As our photo with our @intrepidtravel guide Selva told us, the drink is a ritual, a social glue, shared in parks, on streets, everywhere.

Buenos Aires is a city where food is savoured, shared, and deeply tied to identity. Whether you’re grabbing a quick sandwich or settling in for a long, leisurely parrilla lunch in La Boca, like us, every bite tells a story. #travel #intrepidtravel #womenlovetravel #buenosaires #foodie

What’s your favourite thing to see at the @sydneyroyal_eastershow ? Is it the horses or the cake judging? For us this year it was seeing @lyndeymilan and the @gg_australia supporting the people from our rural areas! #womenlovetravel #royaleastershow @carouselfood

Yesterday we got to celebrate the launch of the new Thermomix TM7 - the world’s smartest all-in-one kitchen appliance. It has a new sleek black design, silent motor, 10 inch multi-touch display and groundbreaking locking mechanism that enables modes like Open Cooking for the first time. A truly incredible piece of technology!

We packed a lot in during our Mazda CX-80 road trip to Kiama, Hyams Beach, Kangaroo Valley, Port Kembla and Coledale. Our first dining destination was @silica_restaurant_kiama where you can enjoy beautiful views of the ocean and coastline, combined with Kiama's freshest local seafood. Our other favourite dining spot in Kiama is @missardameze where you can feast on Middle Eastern fare. While it’s hard to pick a highlight we loved our surf fishing experience with Cornish George known as @fishingwithalocal and our relaxing stay at the @jamberoovalleyfarm where we enjoyed home baked hot cross scones & a hot tub! It’s amazing how close we live to such exceptionally beautiful places. Thanks @mazdaaus for arranging our trip in the snazzy #CX80 #ZoomZoom

Levant is more than a cafe to us — it is family, tradition, community, culture and heart. We are so grateful to be recognised in and among some of Sydney’s best 🖤 And we are so excited for what’s in store this year as we continue to honour who we are while making things our own 🌙

I wrote an article for @carouselfood on ways to minimise cost and maximise impact during what we’ve been referring to as our ‘Cost of Living Christmas’. 🎅🏽🎄💸 Here are some pics of ways we saved this year, without missing out on a single thing. How did you adapt this year? Did you change anything to suit tighter budgets and rising costs??
