It’s hard to find words that can describe the feelings of this team. Remarkable is to say the least.
I’ve watched this amazing group of people come together from all over and triumph over the unknown of BiG Art! You never know how it’s going to turn out. What challenges may await. Peopling is hard, coming together is monumental. Building in extreme weather @burningman and still pulling off something Big, Beautiful and Bold at the same time is Fantastical! I’m so proud of this team! We did something Big and now she continues on to educate and help our reefs.
Thank you for believing in the mission of Octopolis from the beginning. Putting in the time, effort and love into her!! True excellence, true bad asses!!✨

Building the art is one challenge. Months of hard labor. Solving problems. Coordinating a team. Building the art on Playa is a whole new challenge … transpiration, heavy machinery, and dealing with the weather. We got so lucky to set up ZARVAN on this incredible sunny day with no wind … and having an incredibly skilled team didn’t hurt waiter. Huge, huge thanks to all of our champions who were with us from the start and or Burning Man Art Support Team. We could not have made this magic without you!

I am so incredibly proud of @gazelledasti and the @zarvanproject crew. Seeing ZARVAN out in the desert was truly magical! ✨

Watching this sculpture come to life piece by piece was awesome, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from this monumental and beautiful project. To watch a wild idea turn into something real out there on the playa was a pretty powerful reminder of what art can do, and what’s possible when people come together to make something big happen.

Cheers to the ZARVAN crew! There’s something pretty damn special about making impossible things happen together. 💙✨

After 17 days in the desert, living in a tent, covered in dust, no showers, and porta potties, it was finally time to strike ZARVAN, load her onto the trailer, and bring her home.

Watching this 23 foot, 5 ton sculpture come down was just as emotional as watching her rise. Exhausted, grateful, and incredibly proud of what our team accomplished together.

ZARVAN is coming home. ❤️‍🔥

Ok we got this;)!!! Go team Octopolis!! Working as a family to solve any obstacle that comes our way and doing with a smile! We got our art out of the broken down box truck and heading back to playa! And we made it in just for Early Man burn.

What an incredible feat to bring art to the playa. A monumentous achievement by many to get here!!

The support behind this project runs deep. Every load, every lift, every person who showed up when it mattered, that’s what got her this far. And we’re not done yet.

🐙 More to come.

Visit our links in the bio to interact with her from afar!

🙏🏼🔥💙 After so many months of dreaming, building, creating, and receiving so much incredible support, we’re beyond excited to finally share ZARVAN with the world.

Join us for the official opening on Sunday, August 30 at 5:45 PM, located between the Man and Center Camp.
This project exists because of the hands, hearts, belief, and generosity of our community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped bring it from an idea into something real—and we can’t wait to celebrate with you on the playa. 🔥

See you there.
