The day started off with pancakes and donuts at @tustinmazda. It was really nice to catch up with Kyle and Callie to learn a bit about competitive karting @hrtdriverdevelopment @qtheunicorn (and what a nice surprise to see them!). Then off to Mt Palomar and Julian Pie Co.

Flashback to a random last-minute night drive on Angeles Crest Highway in the summer of 2021. I had this shot in mind and needed a few cars to make it happen, and after a few group chats, half a dozen Miata NDs came out to play.

We used walkie talkies to coordinate two cars driving from opposite ends to create the light stream on the road. The light painting around the black Miata is from a friend riding his Onewheel around it. The photo came out better than expected because so many good ideas came from the group!

This year had been about healing and learning to love myself.
Spending a lot of time by myself and evaluating what really makes me happy and getting comfortable living in the discomfort of constant change.

🪦 Remembering and Respecting 🪦

The cemetery is a place for families and friends to reflect on the lives of the deceased and the personal impact the deceased made upon their own life. Visiting the grave site is done with respect and honor, demonstrating a respectful, peaceful spirit.

👇 Have you ever picnicked at a cemetery?

You know how much I love light momentum cars and how they help improve your skills. It’s the main reason I got the Miata ND – to learn how to properly drive a car! High horsepower cars let you cheat when you miss a turn (on a closed circuit), and modern electronic aids make you think you’re a good driver. That’s where Miatas, BRZ/GR86, etc come in. Get one of these and you’ll improve your skills. And then you’ll realize how much fun they are!

And if you get a Miata, the enthusiasts will welcome you, just like how the Porsche community welcomes newcomers
