FESTIVAL AMBASSADOR ROLL CALL

We’re thrilled to welcome Marsha Stephanie Blake as an Ambassador for the Conch Shell International Film Fest! 🌴🎥

Born in Jamaica and raised in New York, Marsha has built a remarkable career across stage and screen, bringing depth, humanity, and power to every story she touches. Audiences may know her from Orange Is the New Black and her Emmy-nominated performance in When They See Us — but her creative work reaches far beyond the screen.

An actress, producer, and storyteller, Marsha continues to explore the many ways stories can be brought to life — making her a fitting voice for a festival celebrating Caribbean storytelling, creativity, and culture.

🌊 From Jamaica to New York. From the stage to the screen. From storyteller to storyteller.

We’re honored to have her with us.

Welcome to the Conch Shell family, Marsha! 💙💛

My true commitment to cultural work began in college as a student leader for @adelanteshu

I am proud to have continued building on that foundation in many ways personally and professionally. It's my greatest privilege to be engaging in opportunities that allow me to hopefully pass on the inspiration to others so they can do the same. There is much to reclaim and in that so much power to tap into.

Here's a clip from the Carry On Friends @carryonfriends podcast. If you haven’t listened to this show dedicated to the Caribbean American experience, do so.

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of chatting with Kerry-Ann on her podcast Carry On Friends. It was a wonderful conversation where we talked about disconnection and reclaiming identity. Check it out when you have time.

Paid $28 for an airport brunch just for it to taste like cardboard? Not on our watch. 🙅‍♂️

Watch us turn standard eggs, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, and fries into a flavor first meal with just a few drops of WIPS Yellow Scotch Bonnet. Sweet, fiery, and TSA-approved.

Always pack the packets. Where are you flying this summer? 👇

There’s a misconception that Caribbean food is unhealthy, when in reality our culture is rooted in fresh, flavorful ingredients and nourishing recipes. The challenge is that it’s easy to turn what’s meant to be a wholesome meal into something less intentional and that’s exactly why I created Prep & Ting.

I recently got to sit down with Kerry-Ann on Carry On Friends to talk about food, culture, wellness, and intentional living. Such a meaningful conversation and definitely an episode you don’t want to miss. 🌴✨
