Senior Design team Linebackers partnered with the Georgia Tech Athletic Association (GTAA) to design the systems that shape the fan experience at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Using queuing theory, discrete simulation, and resource optimization, the team modeled stadium ingress, traffic flow, and concession operations to identify bottlenecks and prescribe solutions that increases throughput rate and reduce variability in service performance.

The outcome is an improved throughput capacity, reduced wait times, and as a result a smoother, more engaging game day experience for fans while supporting sustainable operational performance.
In combination with more efficient queuing in the concessions system, this will increase revenue from concessions sales and improve fan retention overall.

Our guy did it and today we celebrated it! He’s maximized every opportunity this great institution had to offer in the classroom and beyond. He arrived in Atlanta faith driven to obtain his degree debt free. Four years later he leave Atlanta with degree in hand and zero debt. We are so proud of him, where his is, and where he’s going. He is going to be a Helluva Engineer!!

Four years ago, we interviewed six first-year students as they started their journey at Georgia Tech. As they near graduation, we caught up with them to reflect on their time at Tech and what they’ve learned along the way. 🎓👏
