Celebrating Grandparents’ Day for Lolo and Lola is never special nor complete without treating them out.

While at it,
why not create memories that are moments as priceless you all can keep going back to.

When at an SM Supermalls - like SM City Naga, why not have a seat with your Lolo and Lola to have a photo and have that S.I.L.Y.A. Moments! and rock?

For after all, the gift of time is still the best we can ever give to our elderly as nothing comes close to it, ever.

It’s as easy as a S.I.L.Y.A. rock at a time made more special for it’s Grandparents’ Day this Sunday, 13th of September - with no better opportunity To THANK. To HONOR. And, To INSPIRE.

Happy 2026 Grandparents’ Day to all!

Before ube became a trend, we found it growing wild on our family farm in Bicol. 💜

Being back on the farm this week has made me think a lot about that season of our lives.

During the pandemic, we spent months here. At that time, it felt like life had been put on hold.

We planted our own food, hiked around the farm, cooked a lot, explored Bicolano ingredients, had bonfires with the kids, spent time with our pets, and slept to our hearts’ content. Time just seemed to slow down.

This was also where I fell in love with plant-based cooking, took my first online course, and made my very first ube latte from wild ube growing on our land. That was in 2021, before ube started showing up everywhere.

It was here too that @carx and I first started talking about moving to Spain.

The pandemic, especially everything around healthcare, made us stop and ask ourselves what kind of life we really wanted for our family.

Looking back now, I can see that so many of the things that are important to me today started here. This was where our wellness journey began, and where the first ideas for QueRica Lyf quietly took root.

Funny how what felt like a pause ended up becoming a new beginning.

Pause is my power. 💜

Helping Sophie @sophilippina move into her new apartment this week filled my heart in ways I didn’t expect.

She’s sharing an apartment with Sofia @sofiavbeck , the niece of my childhood best friend @mimivergaratupas (I’m feeling so nostalgic of our Marfori days)

In a beautiful twist, Sofia’s mother is also named Rica @ricabeck_realconnections rica

These two young women are in the same stage of life, yet so wonderfully different. Sofia, a British school teacher. Sophie, a chef in a Michelin-starred restaurant. Witnessing them build a life together as roomies while becoming more fully themselves feels like such a gift, being close enough to help, yet far enough to let them grow.

Of all the things our move to Valencia has brought us, having a front-row seat to this chapter may be one of the greatest blessings of all.

Head rest reminders.
Off with the old. On with the new.

It has been a slow and tedious process
…but so much worth the try.

For, in the hope of further encouraging proper usage of my S.I.L.Y.A. and compliance, a new set of decals have been produced and activated at the head rest of the rocking chairs across the country in our Channel-Partners/Locations this 2026
…a chair at a time, a rock at a time.

Regular-sized S.I.L.Y.A. rocking chairs for 60yrs old and above.
S.I.L.Y.A. Mini-me rocking chairs for 10yrs old and below.

For, as we head to our 14th year of S.I.LY.A., it is hoped that finally we can genuinely work together To THANK. To HONOR. And, To INSPIRE. via my rocking chairs by simply following this basic rule.
For indeed, it’s in our nature to care.
