Today was the last IDY’s First Friday event of the year.

Quieter than some mountain weekends, but more rowdy than your average Friday night in town, unofficially the town’s newest “official” no rules gathering seems to be a success. Depending on which business you ask, and depending on which local feels like they got the most out of their free event.

Overall, it’s all very Idyllwild, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. 🍂

“Unratified, un-pacified, un-qualified / And oh, let it flow, let it roll / Right into my soul / That’s the liquid spirit / Talkin’ to me.”
Relishing the anticipation of seeing one of my favorite artists tonight @gregoryportermusic His lyrics, voice, and spirit have uplifted, centered, inspired, and made me contemplate, relax, and stand up and dance. Liquid Spirit the lyrics above to reject negativity like the poison it is and fight always for spiritual renewal and restoration. His cover of Bill Wither’s Grandmother’s hands touches me deeply, water under bridges helped give me patience to understand that grief and pain take time. If Love was king to fight for that dream in our communities but to carry it in my own life, Going back to Harlem, a reminder of all the shoulders one stands culturally and musically on. The In crowd, just so fun, and indescribable why I listen to Hey Laura on repeat.
Thank you for the music, delighted to feel your magic in person.

For such a special night we enjoyed my favorite summer drink and the amazing people who work and make me feel so welcome at @borromini_ristorante Tried the beautiful delicious @wilderphilly to celebrate so much with the Good Dr. donned in his @diyanu looking fresh.

Was nestled in the beautiful energy and great talent that is @pashdoeshair and @chelseymcmullin makeup. All a balm to my spirit.

Art is light. Light is Love and Love is light. Philly you will always have a big piece of my heart ❤️

Last weekend was a fun and cool time in the shade of the tree of Idyllwild for the event for @casaquerida.idy who have clothing, attire, textiles, makeup, foods, crafts and arts from Mexico and around the world. Definitely a place to visit when in the beautiful mountain area above San Jacinto Valley. @masmovimientolatindancecompany taught a class of Casino de Rueda Cuban style salsa, performed and were DJing for the dance that followed and closed out the event.
