@casewoj and I always bonded over our shared love of bossa and Brazilian music and I love that we got to make this song “Future Times” together that’s out today under his new project WOJ. Such a fun process which started as an instrumental score for a super 8 film for @canyoncoffee and then got some vocals on an iPhone from Casey, and then got recorded properly with the help of some genius musicians & collaborators @wilderstyle1 on bass, @andrewampaya on piano and mastering by @joaocarvalhomastering Out everywhere today and is a great vibe 🌴🌴🌅🌅

I really liked having my friends Ally and Casey from @canyoncoffee over for a sunny breakfast last month ~ we had fig galette and espresso that I prepared on the camping stove (mostly to be social, and to enjoy the sun while the water heated), and @justinchung took these beautiful photos of my home and garden.

Ally and Casey have been interviewing LA-based makers and doers as part of their #MorningRituals stories on the Canyon Coffee Journal, so I was thrilled to be asked to be part of the series, and to share a bit about my shop and the work I do.

NEW MORNING RITUALS // Alex Tieghi-Walker is a writer, creative director and founder of Tiwa Collective. Originally from Wales, he recently moved to LA from the Bay Area with his puppy, Ivo. Finding him initially through his beautiful curation of antiques and artifacts on @tiwa_select we introduced ourselves and shortly thereafter headed over for coffee and breakfast, along with our friend @justinchung // see the new Morning Rituals piece on our Journal for more photos and interview with Alex!
