ADCC Austin/Youth Worlds 2026 🤠🥇

This past weekend I took double gold in the -75kg and +80kg divisions. I went against some great opponents and ended up coming out with the wins.

Thank you to my Mom & Dad for everything they do for me and sacrifice for me to be where I’m at now without you guys this would never be possible, all the days taking me to train and places to compete I love you guys so much!!!

I’ve been working hard to achieve my first ADCC Gold, taking a break from posting content, putting in the time and effort every day to keep improving and becoming a better competitor. None of this would be possible without my parents, team and coaches. Huge thank you to Sensei Levy & Garcia for all the work, guidance, and support they’ve given me.

It was also great getting to see my friends and other competitors compete at the ADCC Youth World Championship and seeing them bring home some medals and belts.

I also got some great training in at 10pATX with some high-level guys beforehand and added some new moves to my bag.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the process.

Onto the next one.

Casey and I spent our first weekend fully responsible for children😯. So many laughs, and sweet memories were made with our niece and nephew — Barton Springs, Burger Bash, bowling, and to top the weekend off, cow cuddling🥰. Being an aunt—such an honor🩷.

📚🥋 Introducing Tariq’s ABCs: A Teammate Story 🥋📚

A simple ABC book inspired by the lessons we learn on the mats: friendship, kindness, teamwork, curiosity, learning, and never giving up.

Created for little grapplers and growing families, this book helps introduce positive values through the world of Jiu-Jitsu in a fun and easy way.

As a dad, coach, and teammate, I wanted to create something that kids could enjoy while learning what makes our community special.

❤️ Good teammates help each other grow.

PACKED mats for 20-Round Tuesday! 💦

@curtis10p crushed the 6 PM with some key kimura details. 🔑

Great to see @christianlopez.bjj tonight too. I’ve known him since he was a little fella. He’s 16 now. 💪🏻

First thing he said to me tonight was “I looked into all that stuff you were talking about. You were right about everything.” 🤣

Call @10PATX at 737-255-2622 and ask us about our classes for homeschoolers!

Be the change you wish to see in the world. 🌎

My road to a jiu jitsu purple belt was long and winding, full of learning, growth, and the support of others. So grateful for the exceptional coaching by @caseyrchampagne and @seankent10p , for thousands of rounds with the best training partners, and for @curtis10p creating a @10th.planetnetwork community in Austin. Lessons (and reminders):

• Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not who someone else is today
• Discovering my learning style is my responsibility
• Nothing changes if nothing changes. To see big changes in outputs, commit sincerely to changing my inputs (habits)
• Let go of the grips that don’t serve me
• Be like water. Direct resistance is often not the answer
• Choosing the way I struggle is a blessing

Time to get back on the mats 💥

Been feeling joyful and fulfilled for the last week following our black belt promotions last Friday, which saw 16 students and coaches get ranked up to black, plus a handful of true 10th Planet Austin OGs getting ranked to purple and brown.

The @10PATX 10th Anniversary Eclipse Weekend was a massive success. We had TNJJ 100 and a comedy show to kick off the weekend with @ways2well as a title sponsor, then Friday night had promotions with an @ellisbullardmusic concert after, during which @eddiebravo10p, @curtis10p, and myself gave him his purple belt in front of his band.

I was promoted to black belt with my first two main training partners, true brothers, and inspirations for me in my journey through sobriety: @reallukeperry and @fujitsu10p4l.

@seanmagnnusmma received his as well, another brother who has had my back in many situations.

In my first promotion as a black belt, I had the honor of promoting @jamiefigariwellness to purple belt. A belt earned on the mats and in the spirit with which she engages the world. Jamie is an incredible story of perseverance, grit, and motherhood. Thank you for inspiring me to dive deeper into my faith during our time together.

Our black belts presented Curtis Hembroff with his lineage poster, which will hang just to the right of Eddie Bravo in our gym, who hangs just to the right of @jeanjacquesmachado.

On Saturday, we had white and blue belt tournaments before an incredible, high-stakes 10th Planet Team Duel with @10thplanetlosangeleshq winning Iron Neck Pros from @theironneck.

Then on Sunday we had a huge open mat.

There isn’t another school that could have this kind of celebration.

Promotions didn’t stop as the last week saw many in our next generation receive blue and purple belts.

There were so many special moments with special people.

Usually an event such as this signifies a graduation, an ending of something, but for us, this just begins a new chapter of leadership and stewardship with new levels within us ready to be unlocked.

The Holy Spirit is moving in Austin, Texas.

10 years of history in the books for 10th Planet Austin.
We are ready for the next 10.

Blessed with the opportunity to compete against some of the top 10th Planet athletes in Texas. In the finals, my team faced off against Eddie Bravo and his team from the 10th Planet headquarters in LA. Such a wild experience 🔥

Thank you to @10patx and @curtis10p for the opportunity and support. S/o to my Oak Hill teammates for bringing me in. S/o to all the competitors and spectators for bringing the energy… You could say it was electric ⚡️👽

Leveled up this last weekend! I got the privilege of being promoted to brown belt. I am so happy that I got recognized next to my favorite coaches and training partners. There has been so much blood, sweat, and tears that have gone into this, and this is still only the beginning! I wouldn’t be half of who I am today if it weren’t for the people who I’ve surrounded myself with and have the honor of calling coach. @caseyrchampagne @jacobnorton10p and @laurensears10p all got recognized as black belts and it was such a special night to share with them. I owe so much to each one of them and I can’t wait to continue along this journey with them as the example to follow. Thank you @titocruz10p for the support and helping me believe in myself more and more. I hope that I can continue to make you proud! Also, thank you @curtis10p for everything you’ve done to make @10patx @10paustin my home and helped support me throughout the years. Words can’t do justice to just how much this means to me. Love all of you, and love all my training partners that have pushed me throughout the years. Now it’s time to get back to work and continue to level up. See you on the mats!

As we move toward 2026 and celebrate 10 years of 10th Planet Austin, we had the honor of promoting 15 new black belts, each with their own journey, sacrifices, and story.

We’re incredibly proud to stand alongside everyone who’s put in the time and helped build what 10PATX is today!

Thank you all for an amazing weekend, an amazing decade, and congratulations to everyone on all of their promotions ‼️

Most importantly, we wouldn’t be here without @eddiebravo10p & @curtis10p , so thank you both for everything you do for us! ❤️‍🔥
