The most incredible week spent with @pssquaredbelfast @taigh_chearsabhagh @susannahbolton @cashamack ❤️ For Romhainn: the Scottish Gàidhlig agus gaeilge term for 'before us, ahead of us' in a collective sense ❤️ Getting to connect, share dialogue and discuss our beautiful languages, the similarities, the struggle, the activism and decolonial message behind using our native language in our practices was wonderful. I truly believe the art sector especially in the north should look to the Irish language community, their fight and work for language rights and recognition especially the Shaws road Gaeltacht, for solidarity and guidance on how to achieve our aims and rights within the art sector. Art must be radical and there's nothing more radical than decolonial action and learning your mother tongue 😈 Go raibh maith agat to @softfictionprojects @ccadld @voidartcentre

With one week to go until our 1st Birthday Party, we'd like to introduce you to our special live performer Cashlin MacKenzie (@cashamack)... Cashlin blends traditional flute and whistle with field recordings and evolving beats to create hypnotic atmospheric soundscapes. Rooted in tradition and driven by rhythm, her sets are both meditative and danceable- moving between ambient storytelling and momentum. If there was ever a party to get down early to this is the one. We'll be simmering away from 7pm, see you there x 🪴

Vita Nova • Our 1st Birthday (!) 💐 On Saturday the 4th of April, celebrate one trip round the sun for this little dance we call Vita Nova. Expect the usual array of leftfield treats with some added extras... We are beyond thrilled to welcome a live performance from Cashlin MacKenzie (@cashamack), a blend of flute/whistle and programmed sounds, creating beautiful worlds and textures. As usual @anotherpeopleplace will be powering the party with their lovely soundsystem, which will also make an appearance (alongside VN resident Fred Alexander) at Kelburn Jazz Weekend in early May - grab a ticket! It's been a special year for us, we're excited for the next and the next and the next... 💐🌀🛖

Rehearsing for the @thedoubletbar on Sunday 8th Feb with @isa._gor - clearly an unfair division of labour. The evening is the record launch for Wake up Baby on @huntleyspalmers and @lauriedrums and @cashamack will be gracing the event as well.
