Life at Cà Spiga unfolds at a slower pace, embracing the beauty of simple pleasures. Begin the morning with a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Como, just moments from the house, before enjoying an authentic breakfast of homemade pastries, regional cheeses, and local delicacies on the sun-kissed terrace overlooking the lake.

Some things I look for in Italy :

1. Merceria
Definitely pop into a little merceria. They look like Oliver’s shop from HP, with tiny drawers full of random treasures. You can find silk ribbed camisoles, lingerie, sewing kits, buttons and so many little things. The shopkeeper takes everything out and shows you what they have, looove it.

2. Silk
Como is famous for its silk, so it’s worth finding one of the old silk shops and getting yourself a little souvenir.

3. Handkerchiefs
Still one of my favourite brands @massimoalba . It’s kind of become a tradition for me to buy one every time I’m in Italy.

4. Local brands & vintage
I always try to look for small local brands rather than the obvious big names. You can find really cool homeware, vintage pieces and beautiful candles. And if you love vintage, definitely worth to check out the local flea markets.

5. Local fruit shops
I always buy some fresh fruit when I’m in Italy. Figs are my favourite, so that’s usually the first thing I grab.
