Xavier Mission’s Board of Directors is proud to announce that our Executive Director, Cassandra Agredo, has been honored with the inaugural Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service Alumni Award!

The GSS Alumni Award recognizes an individual who embodies professional social work values and meaningfully impacts the individuals and communities they serve. Recipients are committed advocates for those most vulnerable among us and catalysts for systemic and organizational change. Finally, awardees have earned a reputation for their promotion of human rights, social justice, and anti-racism - personifying what it means to be a social worker in today’s society.

Please join us in congratulating Cassandra for this recognition and for her extraordinary service to Xavier Mission and the community we serve.

This is how Sam finished her longest appearance yet with her Wolfpack… pitching to contact with a 7 run lead, trusting her teammates. Came in to start the second inning and never left. 5 innings, 2 runs on 3 hits, 3BB, and 2 strikeouts. Lots of ground balls and weak pop ups. The confidence is growing in leaps and bounds.

After 3 phone calls a day, 6 days a week for the last 13 months or so, the #nybloodcenter got what it wanted - 500mL of my #blood. I got a bag of chips, some cranberry juice, and some attitude from the phlebotomist... AND the ability to say I may have saved three lives. Plus @cassagredo1 and I get to feel slightly superior together! Scroll for the health benefits to the donor. Let’s all donate every three months from now on. #blooddonation #bloodshortagegodonatenow #healthcareisahumanright #laziestwaytosavealife and as always... #blm #decolonizethisplace and everyplace. #nooneisfreeuntileveryoneisfree
