Job done ✅ Qualified the Canadian women’s 8+ for the Paris Olympics!

Fifth place at the World Championships definitely wasn’t the result we hoped for, BUT our motivation is higher than ever. Ready to get back to work and leave no stones unturned. 🇨🇦

Since the Jane Thornton Trophy couldn’t be brought out to Victoria this year, we had the honour of being presented the trophy at our banquet on Friday by Jane Thornton herself 🏆

We are so so happy to be leaving Victoria and coming back to London with one big Western W 👐🏻 We are so grateful for our teammates, coaches, families and the mustang alumni for supporting us and cheering for us the whole way 💜 A special shoutout to @wardsky01 and @sblack2828 for winning coaches of the year (you both really deserved it 💜) An undefeated season feels pretty good 😈 t-365 days until the next CUs and we’re pumped to get back in the stable and see what we can do 💪🏻

it’s FINALS DAY 😈💜🐴
Tune in on the UVic Vikes Facebook page at 10:30 (2-), 12:30 (1x) and 3:00 (8+) to watch the Western Watt Ranch rip down the course one last time this season! We are absolutely pumped to turn the course purple today and have our mustang family cheer us on 💜🚣🏼‍♀️

‼️BIO ALERT‼️
.
Up next in 4 seat is Cassidy Deane! Don’t be fooled by her smile, Cass is one lean, mean, deane machine on the water. Cassi was a member of the FISU team in 2018. After finishing up her undergrad at Queens, Cassidy has decided to join the Western Watt Ranch while completing her masters. Although Cassidy is a true Gael at heart, we think that she looks best in purple 💜 We are stoked that she has joined us in 4 seat in the 8 and stroke seat in the pair. This speed demon is ready to send it at CUs and bring us across that finish line in a jiffy, not only once but twice 😈
