You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to have it all together.

I’m tired of hearing “you’re strong, nothing can break you.”
A lot of things can break us. We just hide it well.

You’re allowed to be vulnerable and have your moments. Instagram only shows the highlight reel, so I want to show the real side too.

Check in on your friends, even the “strong” ones. Love on each other, stay close to your people, and talk to each other.

🩵🩵Who are you checking in on today?

I’ll never skip a workout, so why would I skip putting on the armor of God? 🙏
-
Muscles get built through consistency, and so does faith. The gym strengthens my body for this life; the Word strengthens my spirit for everything this life throws at me. Train both. 🛡️🏋️‍♀️

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand.” (Ephesians 6:11)
-
We are ALL fighting a spiritual battle and from my perspective it’s a million times harder than physical.
Be STRONG in both aspects!!!

You gotta put on the work to get what you want.
It is not just gonna come to you with pills.
-
If you want results and you’re not seeing them, put in more work and stop complaining.

Life isn't a book with multiple chapters, it's an overlapping experience and everything is a segue into another. Enduring hardship will provide you wisdom. Ignoring hardship will provide you a false sense of perfection. Know the difference between managing life so you enjoy it and your values are intact, and becoming consumed and self absorbed. One will show you the beauty of the world and keep your mind open, the other is a breeding ground for entitlement, complacency, and false fulfillment.

There will always be those that try to shame your progress. Those who feel every single thing you do is an attack on them. Sadly it’s just a lack of empathy and if they feel an improving you is a bad you, give yourself distance from that type of manipulation. If you never take a chance, you may never fail, but you also may never succeed in anything expect staying right where you are. Being inspired by others is a helpful way to find yourself. Wanting to be others is a helpful way to lose yourself.

Ask the difficult questions, start the difficult conversations, do the difficult work. With empathy, effort, patience, and persistence...impossible can become reality.

Be comfortable with yourself. This is a VERY tough task because no one wants to seem incapable, “uncool”, or even ashamed of who we are. When you reach a point to #Loveyourself understanding and dealing with those feelings becomes far more manageable. Work to be your best you. We tend to measure success in things, “grind”, or status, among others. Measure it in joy instead, it’s a much better gauge.
