I was never in 4H and I didn’t grow up going to the state fair. More like block parties and the feast of San Gennaro. So I never really experienced a blue ribbon worthy pie, or any of the livestock competitions. Or FUNNEL CAKES!!

Well it is with an incredibly intense amount of pride to say that Battle of LA is a BLUE RIBBON WINNING FILM! I know, I know!

My film won a blue ribbon at the @castatefair this summer in Sacramento.

Thank you to all who participated and for everyone who came out to support indie filmmaking and all of the amazing shorts that were a part of the program.

Look at this blue beauty that showed up in my mail the other day. I am absolutely displaying this with pride!

And a HUGE thank you to the California State Fair Film Festival

💚 THANK YOU, SACRAMENTO! 💚
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the Original Sacramento Home & Garden Show and spent the weekend with us at Plant Social Club!
Whether you joined one of our workshops, took home a new plant, connected with industry professionals, or simply stopped by to say hello, we’re grateful for each and every one of you. We loved seeing so many people get creative with our succulent pumpkin and living driftwood arrangements.
Your support, enthusiasm, and love for plants made this event truly special.
🌱 Be sure to follow us and turn on notifications so you don’t miss upcoming workshops, new plant releases, special events, and where we’ll be popping up next!
Thank you for being part of our growing community. We can’t wait to see you at the next event! 🌿✨

Hosted by @castatefair 🍻

We checked out the first ever Saktoberfest at Cal Expo and went in looking for the best drink, best bite, and best part of the night.

The Martinelli’s cider was the clear drink winner, the German potato salad was our favorite bite, and honestly, the best part was how interactive the whole event felt. Between Hammerschlagen, stein holding contests, the wife carrying competition, photo ops, music, and all the little activities included throughout the night, there was a lot more to do than just eat and drink.

We’re so used to coming to Cal Expo for the State Fair, so it was really fun seeing the space used for something totally different in cooler weather.

Saktoberfest runs through today, October 10, and tickets are available through Cal Expo.
