Meet Cat Hendricks from Huntsville, Alabama, an Environmental Conservation and Management major in the College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment (CFWE). 🙌

Cat began her career at Auburn as an exploratory major before finding her path in CFWE. One of her favorite classes, dendrology, challenged her to master tree identification and helped her see forest canopies in a completely new way. She also credits Amy Counterman, CFWE professor of practice, for inspiring her passion for environmental interpretation. 🌲

Through the FEWL Academy trip to Washington, D.C., Cat had the opportunity to meet environmental professionals working in policy and government, an experience that strengthened her confidence in pursuing a career in the field. After graduation, she will serve as a mitigation banking intern with @wesmitigation and hopes to one day work as an interpretive park ranger. 🤝 🌟
