felt so supported & strong throughout my pregnancy and labour and have soooo many people to thank for that — family, friends & 10/10 care providers !! 🐣💪 a healthy, easy pregnancy is a gift i absolutely did not take for granted and i recognize is not everyone’s experience — people can do everything “right” and things can still go wrong and/or be really hard so this is not to discount that experience <3 just wanted to share things that helped me along the way 🫶

Perimenopause + Strength is back, with a new 2-part format! 💪 Dr. Annelies Wentzel, DC and I are teaming up again for two evenings focused on helping you better understand what’s happening in your body during perimenopause and how strength training can support you through it. Week 1: Perimenopause Education I’ll break down what actually happens to your hormones during perimenopause, the symptoms you might notice, and the options available to help you feel better. We’ll talk hormones, sleep, body composition, energy, mood, and more, with lots of time for questions. Week 2: Strength Training Dr. Annelies Wentzel, DC will teach you the why and how of strength training during perimenopause, including how to train effectively, build and maintain muscle, and feel more confident in the gym. Then you’ll put it all into practice with a guided strength workout. No previous strength training experience is needed. This is designed to be approachable, practical, and useful whether you’re brand new to strength training or already exercising regularly. 🎟️ Early bird tickets: $125 until September 24 After September 24: $150 Your ticket includes both evenings. Ready to join us? Head to the link in my bio to grab your ticket!

What I’ve been up to this last month! 💌 1. Teaching spin @pacespinstudio ✨ 2. Counseling @nextstepcounsellingkelowna 🛋️ 3. Launched my website! (linked in bio) 4. Slowness and intentional rest have been a big focus lately 🌿 My body still defaults to urgency + overdoing, and I’m learning to soften that. I’ll be sharing more on burnout and recovery soon 5. Created an online course on Movement and Mental Health with @cmhakelowna and Discovery College and @mikaylaangle (Will be live soon!) 6. Lots of trail running + group runs — This was my first winter clinic with @pacetrailruns and it’s been so fun to get outdoors more this winter and to learn to run through snow, mud, and darkness ❄️ 7. Wrapped up the last few weeks of my Lower Body Strength Series @catalystmovementclinic and hoping to bring it back this spring 🌸 8. Another year with lululemon as a Train Ambassador! Very excited to keep expanding on some projects and creating with the Bernard team 💛 9. Prioritizing my own strength training and moving morebwith the REC community — And by more I mean 2x/week and yes that’s enough depending on your goals and season of life too! 10. Personal training at REC❤️‍🔥 11. Coaching at @recfitnesskelowna every Thursday at 9:15 + occasional subs/weekends! 12. We are moving into a new home at the end of the month so lots of packing and chaos in our home right now 🏡 Needless to say, I took a little social media break these last few weeks as there has been so many exciting and wonderful things happening in my life, but not a lot of capacity to show up here at the same time. As I’ve wrapped up some projects and group trainings, I’m excited to be back on here and to start sharing resources, psychoeducation, and a little bit of life again 💌 Stay tuned xx Maddy

The end of 2025 was a doozy, but it offered me a lot of clarity around what really fuels my soul. I recognized that I’d been neglecting the things that bring me joy and I overcorrected for a little while there… whoops. I want 2026 to be filled with creativity, adventure, messiness, hard work, family, and inspiration. I have big goals and this year, I’ll be sure to prioritize the soul-fueling activities as much as the “productive” ones. What are your goals this year? Be honest !!
