Sometimes, purpose grows from the places that hurt the most. 💜

After losing her beloved cats, Chopin and Wazoo, Petra Luna began asking deeper questions about the care, nutrition, and products cat parents trust every day. That grief eventually became the foundation of @catcrazyc — and a mission centered on education, transparency, and helping people make more informed choices for their cats.

Today, Petra’s work continues to grow, with four new Certificates of Excellence recognizing the videos and community she has built along the way. But at the heart of it all is the same intention that started her journey: to help cat parents feel more informed, more confident, and better equipped to advocate for the cats they love.

Her story is a reminder that even profound loss can leave behind something meaningful—and sometimes, love finds a new way to keep caring. 🐾

🐾 The Heart of Mission Meow 🐾

As we celebrate FOUR YEARS of Mission Meow, we’re celebrating the incredible business partners who have helped make it all possible. 💚

They don’t just support our mission, they are part of it.

Their partnership helps us fund meaningful projects, support small feline-centric nonprofits, bring big ideas like Feline Fix Fest to life, and create real change for cats and the people who care for them.

Collaboration has always been at the heart of Mission Meow, and we simply couldn’t do what we do without them.

So when you see these logos, please remember the businesses behind them and support the companies that support Mission Meow. 🐱✨

☀️ 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐔𝐍 & 𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐎𝐔𝐓 ☀️

We have to start the party off with yapping & loungin’ around! No 𝙀𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙝 is complete without a little mingling, splashing, and poolside lounging. 😎 Herbert and his friends are making sure they squeeze out every last bit of summer together! 🧡

𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 📸 𝟭, 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 & 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀:
@minky_business is making the rounds, @itsherbertthecat is the host, @heaven.sent.kitties (Twinkie) is bringing the sweetness, @mourchthecat & @_mama_sassy are finding some new buddies, and @little_peanut103 is making tiny new friendships with all. 🥹💕

𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 📸 𝟮, 𝗦𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵 & 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲:
What fun with the sprinkler! @ceo_cloecat came ready to splash, @big_al_philly and @itsherbertthecat are making waves together 🖤🧡, @blackpanther_ruby is staying stylish despite the water, @catcrazyc is taking on both ends of the sprinkler action, & @caneman1270 is enjoying the fun while cheering everyone on!! 🌊

𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 📸 𝟯, 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼𝘂𝘁:
@space_kat_ninja is hanging around the pool serving cool-cat energy, @mozzie_magic found the perfect lounging spot, @mrbougiefluff & @carlkam1 both got soaking wet but are fine now 😿, @itsherbertthecat is enjoying the fun with all his friends, & @roodinicats is relaxing in style in vaca mode! 🍹

This is just the beginning of the party. Stay tuned friends — this is one post of many for today’s party. Just friends hanging out, getting a little wet, and making a few more summer memories before the season says goodbye. 🥹🧡 That’s what Herbert’s End of Summer Friendship Bash is all about! 🫂

Most cat treats look harmless.

Cute packaging.
Fun shapes.
Words like “natural” and “vet recommended.”

But flip the bag over.

You might find corn, wheat, rice, starches, artificial flavors, dyes, or vague ingredients like “animal digest.”

None of that tells you whether a treat is actually a good choice for your cat.

Cats are obligate carnivores. Their biology is built around animal-based nutrition, so when I’m choosing treats, I want to see that reflected in the ingredients.

My rule is pretty simple:

→ Single-ingredient meat or organ
→ Freeze-dried or gently dehydrated
→ Little to nothing added

You don’t have to overhaul your cat’s entire diet overnight.

Start with the things you’re already giving them.

Treats are an easy place to start reading labels differently.

Save this for your next pet store run.
