Yesterday was one of those full circle days. I started at @decorex_international , soaking up beautiful interiors, colours and textures, letting ideas spark, and being there reminded me of the front image for this post, used a few years ago in collaboration with @thehousedirectory and @decorex_international . It was such a privilege to see my home up on the billboards, a moment I’ll always remember.

I was also lucky enough to attend the @thelistbyhouseandgarden breakfast and hear a talk by the lovely Fiona and interior designer @claudiainteriors in conversation, which was completely energising. I also loved seeing the work of friends @coloursofarley and it was an extra treat to bump into the fabulous @minniparkerdesigns and @sophiecooneyrunners along the way. I also managed to catch a talk on sustainable lighting before finishing the day with a visit to the lovely @stardust.london , who currently has @francisdelara_finejewels as their visiting artist. The perfect end to a day full of inspiration.

It’s been another busy but fulfilling week and I can feel the energy gearing up towards Christmas already.

Our best seller ‘Albaicin Border’ as featured in @englishhomemag in the beautiful home of @rocktheheirloom

Clearly Amy’s favourite colour is green and we chose a dirty light pink for the border colour as a nod to the ‘jonquil’ @edwardbulmerpaint on the walls.

A SPLASH OF COLOUR 💙💜🧡
We all need a little bit of colour in our lives these days right?! You don’t need to go mad though, and in fact being a bit restrained is often better as it really lets the splash of colour stand out.

Water has become one of my favourite regulation tools.

When I’m holding emotions, sleep deprivation and that constant low-level vigilance that comes with parenting a SEND child, my nervous system can feel permanently on.

While I love wild swimming and trips to the sea, these bigger options are seldom possible.

But the little moments still count. A bath at the end of a hard day. Paddling at the river edge during a walk. Feet in a bowl on the kitchen floor.

Even brief immersion can nudge the nervous system towards safety.

Happy Pancake Day!

Some ideas for enjoying savoury or sweet pancakes: from mushroom, watercress and feta or smashed avocado, smoked paprika, dukha and lemon English savoury pancakes to wholewheat banana and maple syrup or apple and cinnamon American style pancakes for the sweet toothed!

This was such a fun day shooting ‘Christmas in Chobham’ with the amazing Claire @turmerichouse in collaboration with @edwardbulmerpaint . Toto was spoilt rotten - he loved it as much as we did!

Transitional spaces. Halls, stairs, landings. The places between your main rooms. Don’t forget them or neglect them - they earn their keep just as much as the rest of your home.

Welcoming you home, inviting guests in, taking you up to bed, and often acting as great storage hubs if utilised well.

These are all from our Volume 19 shoots & all equally gorgeous.

We are about to renovate our own entrance hall, stairs & landing soon, so their design is very much on my mind.
