The first ever Frame Your Legacy Exhibition was a success! 9-20-26 is a day that will go down in history.

I am so thankful for my family and friends who popped out for me.

Frame Your Legacy started as a slogan and turned into a dream to have my work in people’s homes, and now umbrella for events, films, books, and more.

Frame Your Legacy was an example of doing it yourself. I applied to jobs, exhibitions, grants, and workshops to with the hope of fufilling a dream to finally be appreciated and validated for what I do. When that fell through, Frame Your Legacy became a platform to share my skills in my own way that evoked my visual voice, brought community together, and created a physical place for others to experience art and meet new artist.

Until next time!

Year 5 down w/ @broccolicity. This year being co lead, we decided to have more entry level photogs than veterans … big thank you to my co lead and partner in crime @madenchynna for holding everything down and thank you to @pollyirungu from @blackwomenphotographers for sending some shooters!

Big s/o to B, @dperk, @marco_broccolini and all the amazing staff at @broccolicity for giving us a platform; for a lot of my shooters this past weekend, it was their first time shooting a festival, but they held it down! Perfect rite of passage.

Thank you again @broccolicity for always believing in the youth, y’all was the first festival to give me a photo pass, it was such an amazing feeling paying that forward this year 🙏🏾❤️ #COMMUNITYOVERCOMPETITION 🌐

this post is dedicated to the shooters, specifically the music ones. we capture moments. we supply content. we cull through THOUSANDS of photos and spend time editing just so we can find those ones. we walk miles up and down locations. we rent equipment, hard drives, memory cards, rain covers, comfortable shoes, all to get the audience viewing our work to feel exactly how one felt in that moment. at times we may feel under appreciated for all of the work we do. but this post, & hopefully the energy i try and exude, lets y’all know that i love y’all. we work hard for this, but i wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. From the vets to those that had their first festival ever this weekend, it was an honor being able to work with & learn from y’all. I’m super proud of the work that came from this group, and having the opportunity to co-lead the in house media team for @broccolicity this year allowed me to learn so much. I think part of me was apprehensive because this is my first festival in 8 months, & I took some time off to get married and buy a house lol. But when you have a good team that you can put faith in and trust in to do the job, it makes the process easier. Thank you @shaughncooper & @pollyirungu @blackwomenphotographers for providing such great talent. Thank you to B, @dperk, @marco_broccolini for continuing to promote and advance Black culture. BROCCOLI CITY IS A BLACK OWNED FESTIVAL. I’m so excited to share some of my favorite shots, but I had to get this out first. Because without yall, the game wouldn’t be the same. Digest that. Remember that. Continue to improve on your craft, network, reach out when you need assistance, raise your prices, & stay humble. Y’all the GOATs. Thank you again. ❤️
