LEVEL UP! LEVEL 10 UNLOCKED…

How on earth did we end up here?! Jimi turned 10 today. A massive milestone that seems to creep up on you… and boom, double digits!

Matey, what a year it has been. An interstate move, new friends, new soccer team, new house… and you have conquered it all like an absolute champ! The way you’ve embraced change has genuinely inspired us - it already feels like you’ve been here forever. We’ve always said you’re an old soul. You showed us just how resilient and adaptable you are. You made it feel easy, even when we know it wasn’t.

Jimi James Hoad. What can we say? You bring us SO MUCH JOY. You drive us nuts. You make us laugh… and cry. You test us. You impress us. You make us incredibly proud to be your parents.

Your laugh, smile and spirit is infectious. Keep lighting up the world with your magic. Here’s to the next decade and everything it holds for you my (not so) little legend! I love you so darn much! 💖

A month ago today, I flew back from my home away from home… London. Thanks to some incredible people in my life, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity became a reality.

I’m sharing this because that time away has had a profound impact on me. Some experiences don’t change who you are… they remind you of who you are, what you love, and what truly matters.

You know I’m all about embracing opportunities and living life. This was one of those defining moments - one that reflects who I am, how I want to live, and the positive influence I hope to have on my children.

Music is in my blood. It’s my sanctuary. Having grown up with musician parents, I immerse myself in its power to heal, celebrate, tell stories, and capture life’s moments. That foundation makes experiences like this feel transformative.

A thoughtful, humble, and talented human I met on the dance floor 3 years ago made it possible for me to attend @fredagainagainagainagainagain’s sold out final leg of his USB tour at @yourallypally. You know who you are and I am forever grateful.

Fred has done so much for the evolution of music - blending genres and creating new ones, collaborating across generations, understanding the power and importance of composition and storytelling, and creating a physical euphoric space filled with explosive energy that reconnects you to yourself and to others. Watching him do what he loves reminds me that he’s just a human, like the rest of us, who has simply found his purpose and invites us along for the ride.

One moment I’ll always cherish was when I recognised Fred playing the very first note of my all-time favorite song, Glow. It resonates so deeply, capturing the very essence of my spirit. I was right at the front, dancing, and yelled “Yes Fred, yes!” so loudly my voice nearly cracked. He heard me. He looked over, laughed, grabbed the mic and said, “This one’s for you.” I’ll never forget it.

I’ll also take this opportunity to tell you to keep a close eye on @joyanonymous… Hen and Lou are two special humans. What began as spreading joy along Southbank during Covid has grown into something powerful.

We are delighted that La Perouse Public School P&C was recognised by Mayor Dylan Parker and @randwickcouncil on Monday for the contribution we make to our community.

This award acknowledges the heart and hard work our P&C puts into the community through events such as our annual Christmas In July Market and our incredible Galu Dancers and Drummers.

It was an honour to stand among so many inspiring individuals and organisations who are making a real difference in our area.

A huge thank you to Randwick Council for the Community Connect and Community Creative grants received, which help us create special opportunities for our school, our talented students, and our community.

Speechless 🥰

I am so beyond grateful for how many of you beautiful souls came down to Bondi markets today especially to see me. Wow wow wow. I feel very appreciated this afternoon 🙏🏼

And also, the fact that so many of you still went for the “non-sale” hand engraved pieces means so damn much too - given that this is the direction I plan on moving in it is a relief to say the least that you guys are so drawn to these hand cut creations. I know I babble on about the difference between wax carved and hand engraved and to some it seems fickle. But those who get it, get it. You are my people and I love you 💖

See you guys next week for another round xx

Open letter to @fredagainagainagainagainagain and @joyanonymous … you have successfully turned my world upside down last week. I have no idea what day and time it is, or where I am right now (you guys must be exhausted!) but what I do know is that my cup is well and truly overflowing. Far. Out. That was mental. What a ride… you brought us all so much pure joy and magic. An extraordinary experience I will never forget and is right up there in my (very thick) books. Thank you for feeding my passion for music, a heavy beat, a euphoric melody, a meaningful lyric and giving me the opportunity to watch you pour your heart out and tell your stories (using your incredible talents) as we all come together on the dance floor, and celebrate that fact that ‘we’ve found dancing’ once again… thanks to artists like yourselves. You are dedicated and devoted to your art, making music with soul and purpose, always pushing boundaries and trying something new. I cannot wait to see where you end up next…
Forever a fan,
Big love, Caz 💖

A huge thank you to Big Hen of @joyanonymous for your generosity and giving me and my friends an opportunity to experience all this in such a special way. Truly felt like VIPs… was an absolute pleasure meeting you. I’m always here if you or @lo0uj ever need another hair band or a fan 🫶🏼🙏🏼

And a special mention to Fred’s right hand man @tonyfriendmusic (the talent behind the talent - what a legend) and @loose.loose.loose.loose Lucy who is the magic wand ✨

Last, but not least… thank you to my parents for the endless babysitting last week that made all this possible!
