The ground-breaking for the Engineering Center was Sep. 17, 1984. Construction was underway when Benette C. Nolan willed a large tract of land to CBC with the desire that her husband John Joseph Nolan be memorialized. CBC sold the land and used the funds to complete the Engineering Center, which was named in memory of the Nolans at its dedication in April 1986. #TBT #CBU150

Elaine Ashby (Mechanical Engineering, 1974), left, and Wendy Tetley (Civil Engineering, 1973), right, were two of CBC's earliest female engineering graduates after the college went coed in 1970. Today, CBU's Gadomski School of Engineering still produces successful engineers who excel in their field! #WomensHistoryMonth #CBU150 #throwbackthursday

The West Tennessee Branch was honored to have Region 4 Director Bob Cagle in town for Engineers’ Week. On Monday, he visited the University of Memphis/Christian Brothers University student chapters and our younger members group. Tuesday, he participated in our annual Order of the Engineer ceremony, presented on professional ethics, and visited the University of Tennessee at Martin student chapter. We hope Mr. Cagle enjoyed the Bluff City as much as we enjoyed having him here! #asceregion4

Today, one of our recently graduated PA’s got to participate in the Project-Based Learning workshop led by CBU’s Education Department with the help of engineering and science professors! CBU’s support doesn’t stop after graduation, as CBU offers multiple resources and opportunities for professional development to its alumni and the Memphis community! #PBL650
