I love this time of year! Time to refresh and renew. Time to sneak a break from it all. Also… Outside quality time with my kids. But… as they get older, have full time summer jobs, sports practices and camps, we continually have a calendar to contend with throughout the summer months. Oh… if only time could slow down.
I am so grateful for this project. When the kids are busy, busy, busy I am able to continue what we set out to do. With all of your kindness and support this project fills my heart so very much. I am able to gather together what is needed for our time to work together again and share our heart works with you.
June Project Notes ~
💠We still have available, for straight sale, 4 quilts supporting Children’s Cancer Association (JoyRx), See You at the Summit (x’s 2) and Make-A-Wish Oregon. Please see the pics below to see if any interest you. If one says “Yes!” to you, please do not hesitate to message me.
💠We did not receive any sponsorship for our Kennel Quilts for the month of May, supporting SafeHaven. We will continue to support them for the month of June. $50 sponsorship donation to Make-A-Wish Alaska & Washington chapter. Please message me if you would like a Kennel Quilt made in your honor for a newly adopted family member 🐈🐕‍🦺🐾.
💠We are incredibly excited for the opportunity to take quilts for children in hospital and to the Ronald McDonald House in Portland when Lizzie goes for her oncology appointment. The last day we will be able to receive them is June 26th. We have been working hard and having a blast making these sweet quilts. More great is the response we have received to have quilts sent to us to take. Thank you sooo very much. If you would like to join us, please message me straight away to learn more.

It just has to be said…From The Sandpiper Project
You are all extremely incredible people. Please let that sink in. Truly feel the feels of knowing you, in one day, one week, one month, one year… nearly two years have always had the back of children who needed you most by connecting, engaging and sharing our project. Such a crazy beautiful adventure, full of purpose and love! Thank you!!!

We get our strength from you. Your encouragement and support allows us to find our way. We wanted to fulfill two goals these last couple of months and serve all the children’s organizations we have partnered with this year and you, yes! YOU are always here. The friendships and connections built are so strong. This has allowed so much in terms of healing, recovery and a brighter future for kids who needed all of us so desperately. So many beautiful blessings and direction, all because of you!!!

Here’s some food for thought 🥳
For our May Day Quilt Campaign we raised $3,707 for seven organizations! With three months to go to celebrate our two year anniversary we have raised … 🥁drumroll please 🥁 ~ $47,191❣️❣️❣️

None of this could be possible without your continued kindness, support, generosity and compassion for children. Tears flood my face and beautiful memories come to mind… from the first ever auction purchased by Jean Frazier Geist, who gave us the thought and perseverance to say “We can do this!” to our May Day celebration! Please know the gratitude is intense for the blessings you have shared with so many. We value your kindness and opportunities you have given us to pay it forward for all that we have received in this life. Thank you!

WE ARE SO CLOSE TO MEETING OUR GOAL, BUT WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP TO CHANGE LIVES OF CHILDREN DIAGNOSED WITH CRITICAL DISEASES!
Thanks to your generosity, our May Day Quilt Campaign is 56% to our goal of reaching 25 quilts sold. The funds raised help support seven Pacific Northwest children’s organizations. We are so close! We are hoping to get an additional 11 quilts sold to meet our goal. We would love your help!

Where do thoughts come from? They just appear-but mine for this project are so strong in their mission to get to you to say thank you. One overriding thought is this: I vividly remember the beginning days of this project, praying, hoping, wishing for the connections we have now. We are so blessed.
Such a beautiful, wonderful journey this has been. We never imagined the future you all created for others because we were naive in our thinking that this amazing community could be so strong—extremely loud, incredibly close—in binding together (no pun intended) to serve children who need ALL of us. We are so blessed by it all. With so much gratitude and love to all of you for lending a helping hand, giving of your hearts, we are able to serve more children than we ever thought possible.
This month is nearly gone… can you believe it? And within this month we have raised awareness and much needed funds for 7! children’s organizations: Make-A-Wish (3 chapters), Children’s Cancer Association, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Camp UKANDU & See You At The Summit. All have received much needed support, just this month, because of amazing donors & members in this amazing community. Our project, with your compassion, love and belief in all the organizations we serve, has blessed your homes with heirloom heart-works that will comfort so many for generations to come. And the stories of how the quilt came to be present in your homes will inspire others to serve their communities, large or small, close to home or far beyond. The ripple effect, the side effects of the best kind will continue on and on!
Our goal for our “May Day Quilt Campaign” is 25 quilts. So far, we have sent 13 quilts to amazing donors. Wowee!!! Wow! Wow! This is incredible. THANK YOU❣️
With four days to go in May, we will continue to raise awareness and try to meet our goal. We ask that you all share with all you know via FB, Instagram, NextDoor or word of mouth these beautiful heart-works. More will be added as these beauties find new homes.

Have you ever had days where your heart was paralyzed with joy and happiness just continues to spill over, hope & magic booming inside of you? Yesterday and countless yesterdays beyond that, the exact emotions and heartfelt feelings have taken over the Arnold household. Never mind daily life, the rut of things… each day has been filled with such purpose and joy.
Our buckets are continually full. How we got here is never a question. We know! Others opened their hearts, showed us the way and, because of that, we were and are able to fill others’ buckets in the process. The random acts of kindness from this community gives so much opportunity, making one feel weak with so much gratitude. Thank you for sharing the contents of your bucket, giving your heart so others can thrive.
All of this reminds me of a book I read to my kids when they were young(er 😜), Have You Filled Your Bucket 🪣 Today? by Carol McCloud. Such a great book explaining how the sweet acts you do help so many, filling your bucket 🪣 and theirs 🪣!
