A little look at what we created for the Coastal Conservation Association of Texas (CCA) event last night!❤️🤍

We made five custom pull apart cupcake cakes in a variety of flavors, each with its own design! From the CCA lettering to the Texas and fish logos, we had so much fun bringing these together!

Bluffton brought the Lowcountry energy for CCA! 🌊🎣✨

A great crowd, plenty of excitement, and strong support for coastal conservation made this banquet such a fun one to be part of. Models McKinley, Rachel and Dani kept the night lively, connecting with guests and helping make the evening feel both engaging and meaningful from start to finish.

Huge thanks to the Bluffton CCA chapter and everyone who came out to support our fisheries, waterways, and the outdoor traditions that make the Lowcountry so special. 💙🌴

The 2026 STAR Tournament Winners have been announced! Thank you to all the anglers who submitted over 4,000 entries, collected hundreds of Mylar balloons and trash out of the ocean, and entered over 1,200 barred sand bass to help with fisheries management. ICYMI 🎣 Last week, ASA and @ccanational thanked fisheries officials in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina for their continued work to develop state-led red snapper data collection programs following NOAA Fisheries’ issuance of new Exempted Fishing Permits (EFPs).

The permits authorize participating anglers to harvest South Atlantic red snapper in state and federal waters from Oct. 9–22 while the states test approaches to collecting improved recreational catch, effort and discard data. NOAA Fisheries also announced a three-day federal recreational season from October 9 through October 11, providing harvest opportunities for anglers fishing from North Carolina.

Whit Fosburgh is the Executive Director of the @foragefishcampaign and former President and CEO of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP). We talked about why protecting forage fish is critical to the future of our fisheries, oceans, and coastal communities.
