Accidentally deleted my very old (it now appears) version of LAYOUT and the new ones don't cut the mustard (at least I don't know how they do), so trying out the collage settings in CANVA for the first time. Took me over an hour to get to this grid layout - I'm really not good at navigating editing apps.

Anyway, these pieces from my Copper Series are headed out to @ccc_gallery this week to greet customers there this autumn.

Now on to the next order....

I’ve begun a new raft of glaze tests. Hence the beautiful unctuous soft clay thrown rings of test tiles. I’ll wait for them to dry out to a cheese hard consistency and then slice them away from the batt. Once they’re bone dry They’ll be bisque fired and ready to be used to test out new glazes. 🌈

Some new mitten colours heading to @ccc_gallery in Cambridge soon, along with matching beanies and berets. Cambridge Contemporary Crafts is a wonderful shop in central Cambridge dedicated to handmade ceramics, jewellery, prints, textiles and more, all from UK craftspeople.

📦 My whole weekend turned into a packing marathon. So it was good to finally get everything in the post today…

🐈 More colourful limited edition screen prints are now on the way to @ccc_gallery along with lots of colourful screen printed cards, Christmas cards, flower decorations & some new crimson & green folk birds. It’s so nice to have a selection of my work available in the gallery!

🌲I’m very happy to have sent a selection of my screen printed Christmas cards to @theartfulpigeongallery in Glossop for the first time! It looks like such a lovely gallery, I’ve been admiring their Instagram posts for some time now.

🪽A little parcel of screen printed cards, Christmas cards & folk bird decorations is also on the way to the shop at @2021visualarts in Scunthorpe. They have lots of my cards in the shop aswell as folk birds & a selection of my one colour screen prints.

🌲Christmas card orders have been keeping me busy this week! On Monday morning I reclaimed my screens & made new photostencils so I could reprint three different card designs.

🏠 On Tuesday I screen printed about 80 Red Folk House cards, then creased, folded & trimmed them in the evening so some would be ready to go to @fuzzypegfolk the next day. On Wednesday I posted a little selection of Christmas cards to Fuzzypeg Folk.

🦊 I also managed to screen print another 80 Fox & Holly cards, then in the evening I creased, folded & trimmed them. Some of these Fox & Holly cards will be going to @gwelvagallery in Marazion. Christmas cards are almost ready to go to Gwelva Gallery… though I might need to print more Bird & Bauble cards next week.

❄️ Wednesday’s job was to print more Winter House cards. Then In the evening I creased, folded & trimmed the cards ready for some to go to @ccc_gallery!

So I’m in the midst of a lovely rotation of Maharani mug making. I’ve reached the stage of waxing the footrings to prevent glaze running down and fusing the mug to a kiln shelf and rendering it no longer fit for purpose. It’s a lovely repetitive process that requires good hand and eye coordination, however you can happily have a conversation with the Hubster about dog training, garden furniture, pesto and ordering logs for winter.
I plan to glaze tomorrow and fire, so hopefully we’ll have a clutch of mugs for my online shop next week. You can find my shop on my website via my bio.
