🎉 AWARDS & RECOGNITION 🎉

Submitting projects to major design competitions not only boosts visibility – it also gives our students the chance to see how their ideas stand in national and international arenas. And once again, our product design students are proudly proving that innovation is their daily business.
This time, a huge congratulations to:

🏆 Louisa Graupe & Julika Schwarz – honoured for their bachelor project “Water from Air”, submitted in the category System Design, defined by the DDC as a field for new materials, visionary product approaches and future-oriented technologies. Evaluated according to the principles of a regenerative society based on permaculture ethics, the project received Gold in the DDC Talents category. Further recognition includes Silver at the Creative Conscience Award 2025, selection as finalists for the Green Concept Award 2026, and an invitation to exhibit as part of the German Ecodesign Award 2025 in Berlin.

We couldn’t be more impressed by the creativity, dedication, and bold thinking behind these works. They show exactly why our product design students keep appearing on award lists — again and again.

And… stay tuned: another international prize we are proud of is already on its way. More soon!

👏 The 2025 @CCChangemakers Awards were a sweep, with LASALLE’s @lasalledesigncommunication and @1mcnallyfashion graduates emerging from the awards ceremony with two Golds, nine Silvers, four Bronzes and four Highly Commendeds, with work tackling themes like climate crisis, gender equality and war and well-being.

These awards are a rallying recognition of these fresh graduates’ hard work, a promising start to their first steps into the professional world, as well as another notch in the Faculty of Design’s continued strength in nurturing socially conscious, globally competitive designers.

Congratulations to all, and go on out there to lead the change you wish to see!
