A result built from curiosity, experimentation, and a lot of brewing behind the scenes. Our founder, ChunKheng (CK), took home 1st Runner-Up at the Malaysia Northern Region AeroPress Championship — competing with a recipe shaped by the same philosophy behind ION+: understanding how water can change what we experience in the cup. For this competition, CK brewed with a 25 PPM blend of 50% ION+ Esmeraude and 50% ION+ Port, pairing a familiar ION+ profile with something we’ve been quietly developing together with Haziq of Port Coffee Roasters. ION+ Port explores the potential role of potassium in AeroPress brewing — an idea that moved from discussion, to R&D, to the competition table. And this time, it brought us to the podium. 🥈 More than the placing, this was an opportunity to prove an idea under pressure and learn from what happened in the cup.
