In a single evening, our Dallas art community wrapped the gallery in love for one of our own.

Thank you, friends.

Last night was a tapestry of connection, joy, and genuine support. It was a reminder of how deeply we stand for each other.

Grateful for every soul who shared the night with us, and grateful for you, Arthur… Your dedication and artistry light the path for us all.

I finally made it to Apophenia at Icosa Gallery, featuring works by members of The Cedars Union, and it’s still up until August 2nd. This show is a wild ride through our human urge to connect the dots, even when the dots aren’t really there. In an age where everyone’s fed their own algorithmic version of truth, these works ask what patterns are real and which ones are just red string inside our heads. Go see it and decide for yourself.

About the Curator:
Sean Michael Gaulager is a curator, artist, and co-founder of Co-Lab Projects. With over 20 years in the nonprofit arts scene, he’s worked in various roles supporting experimental and social practice art. Sean has served on numerous arts boards and has been recognized for his innovative work in sculpture, performance, and media.

About The Cedars Union:
The Cedars Union is a nonprofit arts incubator in North Texas that provides artists with affordable studio space, tools, training, and community through its juried Cohort Program and open Community Membership. Their studios encourage collaboration and visibility, helping artists grow their careers in the DFW area.

The little kid who thought he had nowhere to go is absolutely beaming at the man I am today. A huge thank you to @visiteastdallas for the feature and @andrealamarsaude for helping capture my story.

For the past 10 months, our Executive Director and Director of Operations have been part of an intensive cohort with TACA, which we were granted last year. This Tuesday, we had the honor of presenting our final projects at the Nasher Museum in front of distinguished guests from Dallas. We are incredibly grateful to @TACA for this transformative experience and for getting to know the other 5 organizations that were part of this amazing program.

During this period, TACA inspired us to evolve beyond our mission and vision. As we embark on this journey of transformation, we're excited to announce our name change from Representa Foundation to Representa.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire TACA team and also to Suzanne from Social Architects for their dedication. Over the past 10 months, we've gained invaluable knowledge and are more inspired than ever to continue changing the cultural landscape of Dallas. Our executive director, Ana Parada, has played a pivotal role in reshaping the perception of Latinos in Dallas, and we will continue on this path toward success.

Together, we strive to be one of the top cultural and artistic nonprofit organizations in the city of Dallas.

eliana miranda | artist at work

Reading and researching articles about the impact of climate change on human migration is an integral part of the process of creating for artist Eliana Miranda. I spent an hour or so observing her process as she clipped statements in articles that stood out to her. It was really fascinating to watch as she delicately places each line of text and glued them to the canvas.
