More Than a Race…

At the heart of the Aonijie Cederberg Stage Run is something bigger than your trail running experience. It’s your chance to make a difference. This race is built on a deep, abiding love for the Cederberg Wilderness and a commitment to protecting it for generations to come.

That’s why we’ve partnered closely with two incredible conservation champions — The Cape Leopard Trust and Sustainable Ceder — and why all profits after event expenses are reinvested directly into their work. Every entry, every stride, and every summit helps fund the ongoing protection of the extraordinary landscape of the Cederberg and the biodiversity that calls it home.

Join us for race weekend. This is your chance to be part of something rare — a race weekend that challenges your body, enriches your soul, and gives back to the wild places that make it all possible.

Find out more and secure your place through the link in our bio.👆🏽

The Cape Leopard Trust (CLT) is a Western Cape-based environmental NGO and non-profit that works to ensure the continued survival of leopard populations by helping to secure their habitat and prey base, and promoting their coexistence with humans. To achieve this, they employ a three-pillar approach of research, conservation, and education. The CLT was established in the Cederberg 21 years ago and continues to work in this region and across the province. Find out more here: https://capeleopard.org.za

Sustainable Ceder is invested in the long-term survival of the Clanwilliam ceder tree population, and aims to protect this critically endangered tree through the support of a healthy and holistic Cederberg environment. They are actively involved in re-establishing a self sustainable population of cedars to ensure their long-term survival within the Cederberg Mountain region. Their main purpose is the development and implementation of a strategic and collaborative approach to the re-establishment of the Clanwilliam cedar tree as an integral part of the area’s ecosystem and cultural heritage. Maltese Cross overnight Hike

Where time stands still and you press pause, breath and realize there is more to life.

Please note overnight hiking is still closed to the public after the fires earlier this year, we had a special permit to sleep in the mountain.

What if the place you’ve been searching for is hidden beyond the last familiar turn?

Somewhere the mountains stretch endlessly, the trails wind through wild landscapes, and the only sound breaking the silence is the rhythm of your own footsteps. 🏔️

The Cederberg feels like the kind of place you stumble upon once and never quite want to leave.

Next time an opportunity comes your way to do something completely outside your comfort zone… just say yes. 🏔️

Say yes before you’ve figured it all out.
Say yes before you know how hard it’s going to be.
Say yes to the unknown, the uncomfortable, the moments that make you question why you said yes in the first place. 😂

Because sometimes, the best adventures begin exactly there.

A weekend of techincal trails, tired legs, wild mountains and the kind of moments that remind you how incredibly lucky we are to experience places like the Cederberg.

There’s something about running through these mountains that makes you slow down, look around and feel genuinely grateful to be here.

You never know… that one little “yes” might end up being one of the best things you’ve ever done. 🤍

So here’s your sign:
Say yes. Go somewhere new. Get uncomfortable. Chase the adventure.

You might just surprise yourself. ✨

Whether I’m riding or running, I love the Cederberg. 🏔️

From taking part in the inaugural @p2_legacy race at @kagga_kamma two weeks ago, to heading to @kromriviercederbergpark this weekend for the @thecederbergstagerun.

There’s just something magical about being surrounded by this landscape. No matter how many times I’m here, it never gets old. 🌿

If you haven’t experienced the Cederberg yet, put it on your list. Ride it, run it, explore it just get out here. You won’t regret it. 👊🏼⛰️ 🎥 @djisouthafrica Neo2
