Frankly I’m still in a bit of shock from this afternoon. Beyond grateful to be a part of this fight family, and to have been promoted to the rank of brown belt by the best coaching staff at @thefightlabtx today.

Jiu-jitsu is about so much more than wins and losses. For me it’s about challenging myself to become the best version of myself BOTH as an athlete and a human, and I’m blessed to have found a home gym that aligns with those same values. We win or we learn, and regardless we do it with our heads held high, and together. I love this place.

Special shoutout to the best uke, @celestial_bjj , as she got called up right before me. I wouldn’t want to get beat up so often by anyone but you 🤎

Also feeling extra appreciative for the best wife, @julie.k.stayton, who kept this secret and worked with @han_schaible to be there to FaceTime her in. Your support does not go unnoticed (either of yours), and I love you.

Finally, to everyone who has played any role in this journey of mine, I’m forever grateful. Family, friends, past teammates and training partners, coaches, opponents, and fans…thank you for helping me strive to be the best version of me.

As always, it’s back to The Lab.

Main Character Jiu-Jitsu weekend (2026/05/02-03)

Many thanks again to Kemoy and the MCJJ crew for the opportunity to shoot at their events.

No public gallery will be released, instead shoot me a message and will send over a proofing gallery.

“Why no public gallery and what’s a proofing gallery??”

It’s about maintaining a quality standard for yours truly and proofing galleries help streamline that.

A proofing gallery is a collection of unedited (or lightly edited) photos where clients can pick and choose the photos they want to be fully developed.

Until next time MCJJ, hope to see y’all in Fort Worth soon!!

MCJJ Camp/Superfight!

Had a few goals going into this weekend:
Win the Superfight (0%)
Learn something at the camp (100%)
Have a good time (1000%)
Annoy @jasminerochabjj just enough to where she remembers me next time (75%)

Even with the match not going how I wanted, I still had an awesome time and @skylermunson was exactly how I hope every opponent is when we meet for the first time. Full of smiles but still ready to throw down 🫶🏻

@main_character_jiujitsu put on a great event and an amazing camp! It felt like a golden opportunity I had to take advantage of. Can’t wait to see who he gets at the next one!

Lessons learned, new goals set.
Onto the next!

@yjjsbrand for the killer fits all weekend ❤️‍🔥

Elevate Submission Series 23 is a wrap. Another good show in the books for @thefightlabtx, with 3 of 4 competitors taking home a win. Very thankful for my teammates and coaches, and for family and friends who watched in person and on the stream.

Thank you to @_elevate_submission_series__ for the opportunity.
