…

The woods look different today than yesterday.

And so do you.

Maybe it is the lighting….the way the sun sits and settles on branches of trees

that keep allowing their red and golden leaves to release.

Maybe it is the song the birds are singing. A calmer, more soothing tune.

Patience and being.
Unfurling and unfettering.
Strengthening, deepening.

There is sun on your face and fallen gold around your feet.
Something is shifting inside.

You’re letting go and letting in.

Life is welling up wide.

Happy 40th year. I love the seasons of you.

Yesterday Cora became a teenager! She has grown and changed so much this year but she still has the sweetest soul and makes everyone around her feel they belong. She prides herself in being silly, always prefers to be reading, has a growing obsession with music, and glues our family together with her cuddly hugs.
I am so mad at you for becoming a little woman before I was ready, but I love who you are becoming. Happy 13, Coco Pipi!!
